I have been screwed by the spawning mechanics too many times. I spawned in front of squads, I spawned in front of speeding LAVs, I spawn next to freshly thrown grenades. Needless waste of time and isk. I'm just done! There's no point in testing Ambush anymore. At least with Skirmish, I can walk a few steps before getting mowed down by the Dukes of Hazzard. |

arimal does have a point. Militia BPO uplinks are your best friend in this circumstance.
BUT I do understand your frustration when it comes to the spawning. I've lost quite a few good suits to spawn mechanics. Just learn and adjust and in time it'll get better. |

lol it seems every game I am in of ambush I am the only one that chooses to bring one, and that just guarantees a death on my part cause I skilled into heavys so I have to die in order to use a fit that is productive. |

Just had a game where I spawned in 3 times in a row, with a build set up to plant Uplinks, RIGHT IN FRONT OF A TANK.
Doesn't matter how many uplinks you bring, sometimes you're just doomed... |

Feeling your pain, but yeah. Drop Uplinks. No, I'm not trying to be smart ass here. My first spawn I always start sprinting just in case I'm in sights. Before I do anything, I do a quick look-around, checking minimap for any reds. Find a corner, ladder, or anything behind cover or even behind a hill---as long as it's within a quick sprint away, changing equipment en route. Once in position, I do a final look-around to confirm I'm not being followed, drop the uplink, then immediately sprint another direction. That way if I'm shot, or if someone sees me, then I'm drawing their attention AWAY from my uplink.
Once it's active, my team is good. Even on those times where I am shot and killed, the reds generally have not bothered retracing my path to see if I've left anything behind for them to worry about. Then I respawn, and get even. Usually another one or two has joined me by now in that I'm usually the only one bothering with uplinks. Go figure.
I'm better with the gun game than I was just a few weeks back, but I'm reaching top 5 at the end of matches mostly for the team spawns I believe.
With all that said though, yeah. As Blacknova notes, sometimes you're just screwed.

Had a game earlier today where I went 7/4, best K/D in my team was 9/0, and I got a ridiculous amount of Team Spawn WPs (3 Uplinks' worth).
Nobody on the other team had more WPs than the 9/0 guy, and I had almost double his WPs thanks to all my Team Spawns.
Also, he was squad leader, and while he was nowhere near the action, he constantly had SOMEONE marked as a defend order (I got to be the marked man a couple of times), so he was raking in a lot of Commission WPs (as well as handing out WPs like candy to the rest of the squad). |

Unless you're in a premade squad, almost all battles are terrible now because the corps that use nothing but proto gear steamroll everyone. |

You can't win with either gamemode.
Either you get spawn camped on skirmish or you spawn in the middle of red dots on ambush.
I like ambush because there is no possible way to get spawn camped, but I like skirmish because I feel more part of a team. |

My favorite ambush spawn thus far has been spawning UNDERNEATH a moving LAV. I saw the back of the LAV as my screen faded in to me being dead XD. |

Thanks for the feedback on my little outrage.
At least I know I'm not the only one fed up with the failed spawning. Many of you make very good points. |
