They dont need to be that slow tracking, but in general, for balance sake they need to be slow. Trust me, spec into them enough and youll see why.

I think its funny that railgun turret instillation seem to have a faster turning speed when unmanned than they do once you get in them. |

They were OP, so they got a range/damage/splash/turn speed nerf.
At first, I thought they were useless, then I realised they're the ultimate counter-sniper weapon after getting a headshot on someone (I know because the head was the only thing visible).
I still think they should be a LITTLE faster though. Pretty sure they got over-nerfed |

They could use a slight buff to tracking speed. But the charge time is well worth it, as tankers are finding out the true joy of railguns now that missiles are KIA |

Thanks for the answers. Turn speed to me is a really bad thing to nerf, just makes things frustrating to use, and just not fun. I hope the turn speed is raised, even if it means something else is nerfed instead. |

Turn the tank and the railgun at the same time, there is a reason why your tank can turn 360. I have had people also tell me that the small railgun turns way to fast. |

They turn slow because the community cried nerf to the railgun
It should at least turn as fast as the missile turret or just make all turrets turn at the same speed |

Isn't there a large rail with enhance tracking speed? I know it's LVL 2 Large hybrid turret but I don't spend nearly enough time in HAV's to justify putting SP into it.
My beef with rail guns in general is that I have given and taken hits that don't register. |

NO dont need anything else nerfed on rails it can one shot any infantry one shot most dropships 2-3 shot most tanks increasing tracking speed makes it easier to use
rails are meant for longer range combat increasing turn speed makes it able to track better at cqc which takes away the advantage the blaster has over it when it gets in close or from behind
rails are fine where they are imo there will be mods to enhance tracking speed as well |
