With the skill caps in place and the diminishing ISK rewards in place, it is basically a god to honest waste of time playing the game for more than a couple of days. Here is some ways CCP can bring back the player base;-
1. Offer the beta players who login regularly and play for a couple of hours at least certain BPOS. These BPOS can be increased over time. For example;- if a tester plays for one whole week and puts in atleast 2 hours a day give him a free toxin gun. If the same player continues to log on for a month, give him a free tier 1 AR or Shotgun. 2. Offer the beta players who login regularly and play for a couple of hours ISK/SP packets. For example;- if a tester plays for one whole week and puts in atleast 2 hours a day give him a 100K SP boost. If the same player continues to log on for a month, give him a 200K SP boost and 1 million isk 3. Have more double SP events 4. Fix the game mechanics

That's just because a LOT of people seem to think this game has already released.......... We're beta testers, in a real development beta, actually breaking stuff, reporting the stuff we break, and seeing a lot of it fixed.
We're here to TEST the game. If you are looking for something you can just play without bugs, without balance issues, maybe you should follow their lead and quit untill the game has been released.
Don't worry, the devs won't miss you, and the people who are actually here to test the game will continue to report bugs so that CCP can squash them before release.
P.S. It's hard to bring back a player base to a game that hasn't lost it's player base, due to not having a player base. Player base is something you build AFTER RELEASE. And if you can't understand that you are a TESTER, not a PLAYER, you need to go back to game development 101, or steer clear of games that use a "real" beta period rather than a "release week preview" beta. |

Still false get your fact's straight the isk i earn has never diminished at all isk payout's are based on what the other side run's gear wise and how you place wp wise on the leaderboard |

BPO based on hours played or something. An event where total games won/kills/ISK efficiency can be rewarded. Skin weave vehicles/heavy weapons/augmentations maybe? Still militia or worse hp/pg/cpu. Maybe a supply of some officer stuff or something. The tournament worked really well to have people playing, so maybe a corp battles played/won weekender?
Something where the average joe gets rewarded, not JUST the top end corps. |

Beta testers are replaceable, just send new codes via a gaming news site. Player amount isn't really that important as long as we have enough to get into game. Player amount will only matter when the game is launched. Announcing (via email) and releasing the new build will definitely get people back; they will at least want to try. |

Plus other games that have yet to be opened equals maybe some Dust time this weekend or maybe not. |

Ccp should not stop players from what they do best. Playing without punishments. No caps. Pay to win but not to the extreme. Sp booster that really boost without limitation. Etc etc etc.
For any other reason, we need a new update. Cod bo 2 is out, so some players are playing that now. Me, playing Playstation All Stars Battle Royal.

Honestly, I stopped playing because the gameplay made so many drastic changes that I couldn't (enjoyably) adjust. The game seems to go slower even though changes were made to make it faster. Gunplay was reduced in favor of team tactics, which wasn't really changed it was just supplemented by a horrible hit-scan replacement meaning that: More people = more guns = more rounds down range = more successful results.
Hitscan works in games like Call of Duty where the maps are small and everything is close combat - but it isn't very practical for large scale games. This is why Battlefield 3 uses Ballistics.
Sure, say that Ballistics impacts gameplay memory/performance and it isn't as effective (with lag) as Hitscan, but it impacts the game in a MAJOR way that reduces the effectiveness of player skill and impacts more on a level of understanding the game mechanics as a whole.
Strafing became ineffective not because of reductions to it's base speed to certain dropsuits, but because it was placed in tandem with the Hitscan implementation. "Dodging bullets" isn't a real factor so much as predicting, and subsequently tricking your opponent to aim his weapon in a manner that correlates to your counter attack.
These major gameplay changes impacted me in a very big way and I found the game to be bland, drab and very generic afterward. Ever since the start of this new build I've been focusing more on Eve Online than I have on Dust 514 - and will continue to do so until the game stops being my "job" and starts being my "hobby". |

I stopped playing for awhile because I didnt like the idea of having my toon wiped every couple of months. After three or four times of that, I started getting sick of retraining skills. Not sure if there are any more wipes coming, but It has been long enough of a break for me to enjoy retraining skills again.
I personally like the current sp/isk gains. Although my swarm has been gimped... I cant seem to dumb fire anymore. So suicidal tank runs are out. |

To be honest, there is going to be another player reset before launch. It was denied then confirmed, so with the SP and ISK cap and then the wipe before release, whats the point in even playing for a few days a week anyway. You will lose it all again

These things will not compete with Black Ops 2. In order to compete with them, you must first emulate and then improve what they have done. For example, they have a 10 point create a class system where weapon customization is key to survival. You guys only authorize certain weapon as per certain Mercs. This game need to be opened much wider to the player for control, autonomy and more importantly the ability to change there mind with there merc or classes without a negative reinforcement. |

To add to my above statement, I presently play COD. I have played all the others hardcore as well. So from a loyal gamer to a Franchise that, well, will be hard to compete with, you will need to implement some drastic changes. BF3 competes because it took what COD did and added some flash in the graphics, gameplay fluidity and still managed a custom weapon loadout regardless of team or affiliation with Clans(or as you guys refer to it-Corporations). |

Dust doesn't need to emulate CoD - it is it's own game and there is nothing out there similar. You will see this more than ever when the new build comes out (what is it? next week?).
Dust will be an MMO FPS with RPG elements and cross-game cross-platform interactivity.
At this point CCP will not be concerned with any drop in 'player-base' because they only need what they have at the moment to actually beta test. When it gets closer to release and open beta they will need a lot more to stress test the servers properly but for now stop thinking you and your CoD friends are so damn important because you are not. |
