Whats the point in the repair tool having the ability to heal team mates when you don't recieve points for doing so? Seems a really great part of playing as a team and using team work to achieve success in using it this way and it adds a great play style to the game for people like me that like to run around and fortify team members by healing them & vehicles but it kind of becomes boring and pointless when there is no incentive for it something along the lines of 10 points for healing a team mate for 10/20 seconds would be a great implementation.
I can understand if you own an expensive tank but if you just want to use it as a team player no incentive what-so-ever. |

are u new to the beta if so u may not be aware that the points for such actions were removed earlier in the build due to people WP and SP farming
basically they were in the redzone crashing an LAV into a wall and repairing the damage but because of there location they couldnt be stopped as reds cant enter the safe zone and blues cant shoot them due to friendly fire |

I've been playing since the end of closed beta but only recently tried using the rep tool to help team mates in PUG matches it just seemed wrong that this kind of play style was getting neglected so thought i would bring my thoughts to the forum and see what if anything is being done about it.
I understand though if they had to stop it if people were exploiting it like that, kind of sad really because the support players are suffering now because of it. |

I completely agree, there needs to be some kind of reward. I suggested a compromise here:

I remember when I tested it and proved it actually worked, couple days later or whenever. No more wp, I could understand earning ISK or even SP, but not WP o3o |

The current lack of WP awards for use of the Repair Tool is a temporary hotfix applied by CCP to prevent farming while they develop a more effective/lasting fix.
However the Repair Tool needed a fix even prior to that, more details regarding the repper can be found via the following link.
