IDPs
A. Summery of the idea.
1. I would like to request that dropships in the future would have a "Instant Dropship Pod" (IDP) system. This system would be set up where the merc's in the dropship could ready up (by hitting x) and when the dropship pilot is over the targetted objective he would be able to hit the eject button to unload all merc's loaded up in the IDPs.
B. Idea's for balance if it would become OP.
1. There could be a "Suit Up" time that it takes for Mercs to load into the capsule.
2. Instant "Suit Up" but to get out of the capsule, it would take an amount of time. This would cause a delay with people insta bailing when the DS has been shot down.
3. Make it where you have to go to a supply depot to have new IDP's restocked.
C. Additional thoughts
1. To add in the future. Create a "Co-Pilot" slot where he has a much higher range of view. His job would be to call out incoming swarm launchers (Maybe even deploying flares), enemy targets, and deploying merc's in the IDP's.
2. With the deploying mercs, I would like to see two ways happen.
a. Have a single button to deploy all at once.
b. Have a load out where you can hit the deploy button multiple times where it'll space the mercs out. More complex styles would be dropping the mercs in formations. (I.E. Heavies would be the first to drop and take the heavy blows, then assault or loggies drop behind them for support, and healing.)
I hope you take these idea's into consideration.

O I like the idea of a force drop. The only thing with that is that it is already hard to activate boosters while flying. If they were to implement it, they need to make the activation of such things easier.
I could definitely seeing my team liking this though. Instead of me saying jump and they jump way too late, they can load into the drop queue, I fly over, working to position and I can drop them instantly where I need and fly off to get more troops or wait for more to spawn in if cru is equipped. +1 for a excellent idea.
As far as co-pilot, I am big on that, see my thread on co-pilots, https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=385047 I could see this being a nice co-pilot option to add to team work of a DS.

I believe this would be a great feature for one reason alone, latency. Even with voice comes (which has a small delay), hearing the call to jump, reaction times, and the latency between the jumper and the dropship, I've jumped out of many a dropship and undershot or overshot the target based on time delays.
You don't even necessarily have to implement a disposable pod. The pilot has a button to activate the doors of the dropship (which don't do anything but block bullets (which only matters when snipers like me are shooting for the gunners XD))
So, change that button to a deploy button. Players have to ready up within the dropship still, but that button lowers the doors and ejects the readied gunners. This would simulated the coordination that real teams have during war for heli-drops and everything.

This is much better than the other idea because it's strictly voluntary |

Using square would be great. You would have 4 non gunner spots that can queue up to be ejected. I'm thinking that gunners should not be able to queue up as they are on the guns, they can just manually jump out or switch to non gun if there is a spot. |

Sounds like a great idea, much better for timing the drops. |

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback!
