Turns out EVE isn't all mining. Also it is really interesting to listen to the commentary to get some idea about how CCP goes about balancing all the different types of ships available in EVE. ANd then what players can do to make use of those ships and how that works in combat.
Also, it shows that CCP are serious about offering competitive PvP for their games and should support tournaments in DUST for FPS players. |

New Eden Open is an interesting event (even before the $10K in out of game prizes) For those who wish to peek into EVE it's a great way to get a taste of some of what goes on there. |

hope so especially if they do cash prizes through other competitive sites since they usually limit entries to US/CAN only for cash tournies eg: MLG/GB online tournaments |

Also was really interesting that in one of the matches a pilot in a support role did not perform an action that would have buffed his team's ships. And that team lost over 100 billion isk worth of ships in that one match.
Every second and every action meant the difference between winning and losing and no one weapon or tactic dominated all matches.
Also, teams got to ban the other team from using 2 ship types. In future Dust Tourneys something similar should definitely be implemented. Seemed to make for some interesting match ups. |

Saw that match where the three Malice got popped. Only 47 of those boats left in the universe now. |
