The breach assault's hipfire accuracy and damage has gone down compared to the last build and the regular assault riffle's accuracy has increased. The railgun installation turret's turning speed has been reduced. Missile's range, damage, and splash radius have been rerfed.
The breach assault riffle does very low damage per second, less damage per magazine, has less range, and the hipfire accuracy isn't even that great compared to regular assault riffle. It basically has nothing going for it.
Railguns in general need pin-point accuracy to be effective. Railgun installation's and large railgun turret turning speed is too slow. The installation turret is painstakingly slow when operating; its slower than when the AI is targeting. That makes it unusable most of the time. As for the large railgun turret, a small increase in turning speed is needed and the turning speed for the railgun installation turret should be the same as the large railgun turret.
The only thing that should have been nerfed for missiles was the direct hit damage, splash damage, and that's it. There was nothing wrong with the range; CPP, if you thought they were too effective from longer ranges, you could have just made them get less acurate from those ranges. Lastly, the splash radius nerf was too much; sure people were getting killed too easily by the splash, but the damage was only the problem. Now you need to use them more like railguns and have pin-point accuracy for them to any damage. My gunners and I were testing rockets and we've concluded that killing somebody with anything other than the fragmented or even the accelerated rockets is terrible; the non fragmented rockets doesn't do anything to anyone unless its approximately 3 to 5 meters away from the target, a radius less then standard/militia locus grenades. Rockets are basically AoE weapons that are designed to explode and deal explosive damage (Not really direct hit weapons). Now they're like a variant of railguns; they both have a low splash radius and have similar fire-rates and direct hit damage. |
