          Hi...
   I was wondering. In order to keep DUST 514 "fresh" and interesting would the developers please consider the following:
  1. New game modes, eg. Two 16 or more manned teams, one attacking and one defending, fight over several installations and areas on a planet consecutively. The defending team will initially own the planet but the object of the attacking team is to take over all the installations and the planet eventually. This will be in line with the objectives of DUST514 and points and ISK awarded for progression, say.
  2. Could the developers please look at another type of mode that would involve single seater ariel combat. This would help in diversifying the game and help to keep it alive. In addition, this aspect would give people inspiration and a goal to be pilot - providing the necessary career path that is lacking now.

  these may already be in consideration, however right now the main thing for CCP to do is get balance right, to fix lag issues, and just get the core mechanics right. |

  Game mode one sounds very much like the beta maps before e3 build. The attacking team had a mcc, the defending team had all the null cannons. The attacking team had to get their mcc to the docking point before it was destroyed by capturing/destroying null installations. Once they where captured/destroyed the mcc could progress further still taking damage all the way. It started in the open in ravines and mountains and ended in a large installation. Was dead fun. I think they changed it cos we where just popping the capture points with loadsa tanks. |
