Kaze Eyrou wrote:So I decided to drop 7000 Aurum to get the passive booster, but before I did, I timed how much SP I gained from passive SP gain and found that I gained about 16 SP a minute. Reading the description, I estimated that I should be getting about 24 SP every minute.
However, when I bought it and equipped it to my passive boosters under the Character Sheet -> Augmentations, I timed it again, and found that I still gain about 16 SP a minute, not the 24 SP I should be getting. The above was the original post. After some testing I have found that it takes a while for this passive skill booster to kick in. Whether you have to restart or wait some time has not been tested to my knowledge, but someone found that after 12 hours, they gained the passive booster bonus. |

To reiterate (posted a few times elsewhere in varying degrees) Passive SP gains as I've come to understand them... 1 sp every 4 seconds = 15 sp per minute (60 / 4 = 15) 15 sp per minute for one hour = 900 sp per hour (15 * 60 = 900) times sp gains by 1.5 to get booster totals. (i.e. 900 * 1.5 = 1350)
Not saying you don't know or don't know how just figured the more it's out there the more will see it and the more people it will help I guess...
My questions are: how does the sp cap affect passive sp gain? And, if you've already hit the sp cap would that negate the passive booster gains? Do you still gain passive sp after hitting the ceiling? I don't think I've ever hit it so I don't know...
Might be the cap is your issue?
Update: Got home, bought and activated (0810-0815 CST) the passive booster and got no love either. Skill point accrual rate didn't change at all... |

I can confirm that your passive skill points keep going after you hit the weekly cap.
I cannot confirm an increase in passive skills after purchasing the passive booster either. |

I can say the same, the additional PASSIVE booster on top of the ACTIVE booster doesn't work, there is no additional increase is SP gain.
NONE !
CCP, Can you please add 7000AUR back to my account please. !!!

@ H.D. - You might be on to something with the active and passive boosters activated at the same time. I have both running as well...
Can anyone out there check with just the passive booster running to see if it works by itself? |

Please read carefuly....
Passive boosters:
Boosters are biomechanical grafts designed to stimulate nerve growth and neurotransmitter activity, temporarily increasing cognitive processes. The graft will degrade over time until it is completely absorbed by the body and ceases to function. NOTE: Passive boosters will continue to function on non-primary clones as a factor of the base skillpoint accrual rate. (Non-primary clones without a passive skill booster do not accrue skill points at all.)

It is a passive booster for clones that you do not have the passive bonus on. It is a way for you to give passive bonus to your other clones, not your primary. |

That just cannot be correct or the most obvious choice would be to block the passive augment slot from being used and REAL money being wasted. !! this would be totally unethical on CCP's part and I do not believe they would do this intentionally. !!
I have today spoken to a squad member who has this working, but it's on his main character not the alt. He gets a tick up of 1.5 SP
I created 2 character and my second character is the main and the first is the Alt.,
I have the 30 day Active SP booster from the merc pack running, the passive SP which can be put on any one character from the character selection and I also have the 7 day passive SP augment added. ALL ON ONE CHARACTER !
This third item is failing though, as no additional passive sp is being added to the count and I believe it should.
H.D
UPDATE - Almost 12 hours later I can now see that I'm getting approximately 25 SP per minute now |

Thinking on this, although quite unfair it actually makes sense, as this augment is a booster to the passive. If you dont have the passive working then there is nothing to boost, hence no SP gain. H.D |

I suppose I was assuming that passive skill gain was active on whatever character to begin with otherwise why would someone purchase and activate a passive booster for that character?
I jumped on the game very briefly tonight and my passive booster is now working as well. I didn't have enough time to measure at what rate though, RL time constraints... One every 2-3 seconds or something like that...
Also, to state the obvious, a passive skill booster will not work if you don't activate passive skill gain for that character. 0*1.5=0 every day of the week. |

H.D Actually what had happened was right after purchasing and equipping the passive booster, there was no immediate change to my passive increase (was 16, should have been about 24 SP a minute). What I found out later and from your updated post was that it takes some time (or possibly a re-log) to get it to kick in and get the passive booster to kick in.
By the way, off-topic, I've seen you a couple times on the battlefield Heavenly Daughter. You're pretty good. :) |
