Why would missiles even have disprestion. you on a 3 ton item minimum and u can't shoot a missile straight in the future and then the splash is so weak tht it barely touchs u?? IT's like millions of years in the future and they don't have missiles tht can one hit someone with splash. i mean rly ppl think about how hard it is to live in a tank with **** guns and op AV to an extent. we can't defend ourselfs and can't kill ****. what are they good for??? looks is tht it maybe free points. missiles have no splash railguns can't turn for **** who knows why when forge guns tht do more damage can be carried and blasters which are the only "decent" gun left for tanks. what have u complainers turned them into. Novelty items tht anyone can kill singile handedly with no help. yea tell tanks to get teamwork why don't u av ppl get teamwork if it came down to a tank and 1 infantry a tank should win not a av person. SERIOUSLY THINK. |

tanks scale up to insane levels while the AV scales up a fraction. |

Was in a couple of games with someone rocking a Rail Gun. Next game someone had a Blaster. Next game it was Missile tank with another Rail Gun tank.

tank health increases with mods and they can cover more ground than any heavy could ever dream. a single shot and the tank is already behind the mountain reping.
health of the vehicle increases mutiplies by both skills and mods to insain levels a shield tanker can take 5 proto shots without breaking the shield assuming the pilot is ******** enough to stand there and take it without reping. i don't know the hard numbers of a proto forge gun but the proto missiles do 1800 damage so we are going to borrow that number. 1800 with a geared proto suit roughly 2700 damage that can still be taken out by any competent player. it still takes a good 4-5 clean shots to take a proto tank down. meanwhile a single scout with a militia shotgun can blow his brains out or be gunned down by one of the turrets. |

These turrets are good. People like variety. People really like variety when it can be obtained without gimping themselves.
I was going AV Breach Forge. I can tell you that they kill AV at range. They see you charging, you'll most probably die. They'll know where you are the moment they're hit, so if you go for follow up shots, expect them to get you. Alternatively, they move behind cover. My Breach Forge can completely remove the shields of the lesser tanks, but the better equipped ones are another story.
Missile and Blaster turrets are extremely deadly close up near objectives where they are supporting their infantry (as they should). The one guy with a Rail Gun was using his tank like a sniper rifle. People were coming around to the objective and he just picked them off.
Things are a lot more dynamic now. Missile Tanks can't just sit halfway across the map and shoot into objectives, so they're no longer dominating. They are starting to fill into rolls. |

i like paragraphs thou. :D but seriously the missiles go 2 feet and explode they have no range and even if they are in ur range how r u going to hit them. with luck? it's dumb how bad they are. the only way u'll kill someone is if they r 2 feet infront of u and tht's still a maybe. railguns only good vs another tank. Missiles and blaster are only good vs infantry due to their range and then can't hit the railgun tank shooting them. so if i was a tank driver which i am the only choice is to have a railgun and 2 small missile turrets or else u'll just get screwed over. unless ur lucky and the railgun tank get near u. imo. i'm not naturaly like tht it's just tht i'm mad they nerfed tanks again. tht's just garbage. nerf AV why don't u.... |

they must not be very good my rails are nasty at range and perfect for taking out infantry and if u practice well enough and got good aim u can snipe infantry with it
Blasters are awesome btw used them and rails for 2 builds blasters are great oh and i can kill AV ppl at a distance with the blaster |

A maxed out skilled Wiyrkomi Breach FG with x2 complex damage mods will put out 3654 damage on a hit but the user has to wait 4.5 seconds between shots and is immobilized during charge and fire making him/her an easy target for anyone who has the range to shoot him/her.
Compare that to the Kaalakiota with the same skills and mods. Fully skilled it has a charge time of 2.63 where the user can still move at a greatly slowed rate, but can only put out 2088 damage.
Neither weapon is pinpoint accurate as there is a little dispersion and no scope mode aiming.
How does any rail turret compare to that?
The 80GJ Particle Cannon. Base stats are 1644.5 damage, 2.0 sec fire interval, 0.8 sec charge time. Plus they have "Scope mode" for pinpoint accuracy. Someone who uses these can add in the attribute mods from skills and modules. I'm sure they'll still come out way more effective than any FG. |

I'm sure they'll still come out way more effective than any FG. u forgot to put the railgun over heats and takes years to cool down while a forgegun reloads quite fast when skilled up plus the are a puny target for a rail gun while a tank is quite easy to hit with a forge. like no jk. plus u get at a far enough distance or ontop of a mountain and we can't hit u. a lot more factors than just damage.

Simple answer for this one. IT'S FICTION. It's not supposed to work like things do in reality, it's supposed to work in a way that makes the game playable and at least semi-balanced. CCP may have overshot their target, but people want balanced gameplay, not OHK flying supremely accurate unlimited ranged ultimate death bombs pounding the field 24/7
Edit: Well, not MANY people want them. At least half of the vehicle drivers even admit they were way too easy to abuse |
