Not a strafing speed. I'm talking about in general, like walking forward. I hate sprinting a lot, it feels like I'm doing a marathon all the time.
The only reason why Light dropsuit has an advantage on speed it's because of the strafing speed. I'm only asking for walking speed. |

I like the idea of this ^ no one get mad at me for saying this... But... In my opinion... I think you just need to look at the types of skills in MAG and add them aswell as. But I'm sure CCP now how to research lol :) |

That's a skill everyone would have trained max as soon as possible. A little bit too straightforward in my opinion (depends on the % ofc). So no, thank you.
I'm condisering suggesting that every suit has a (abit higher) base speed which fitted modules slow down, not just armor modules.)

You do know that Biotics exist that do this already?.
There's also skills that increase stamina so I think this is a non-issue tbh.
If your trying to increase the movement speed overall then there's little point in using the other suits. |

I'm currently going for my old school speed tanked scout suit.
I'd love more speed. |

I second this idea. I feel like a freaking turtle, and I don't want to use slots for a speed gain. |

As a seasoned Ninja Nova Knifer, I reject this idea.
Let me elaborate:
1. There are already higher-tier dropsuits that feature a faster movement speed.
2. The movement speed can only help so much. The real effort comes from the sprint speed.
3. Kinetic Catalyzers help boost the sprint speed of the suits. The higher the tier of the mod the better.
4. There are already skills books that cover stamina recovery, stamina amount, and sprint speed via mods. Two of these skill books actually provide bonuses.
I have fitted 2x Enhanced Kinetic Catalyzers and have level 3 skill on all three skill books mentioned above. With this setup I can run across the map really fast and evade enemy fire without worrying about running out of stamina. With these skills and setup alone, I was able to achieve great things that no other suit was capable of accomplishing.
Also, Dust 514 is a game that involves plenty of trade offs. You can't have one ability or advantage without first sacrificing another. If you want to move faster, you will have to ditch some armor. If you want to walk faster, ditch the heavy suit and go for the scout which means you still have to sacrifice armor. My point is you can't eat your cake and then have it. |

But I agree that the idea is unnecessary, and would effectively amount to a nerf of any melee-focused playstyles, which could really use a buff instead. |
