Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe MCC's take some level of damage regardless if your side holds all the MCC's. This makes it impossible for a team to pull victory from the jaws of defeat by clamping down all the Null cannon sites right when their MCC is at 2 bars armor...it only postpones the inevitable.
Am I wrong? |

yes the MCC still takes small ammounts of damage even if the NULL cannons are controled by your team, However if you controll all 5 cannons then the damage to the opposing MCC is massive and it falls fast. |

The MCC's are shooting at each other.
Without this mechanic, the game would last longer, and might stay at a standstill for long periods of time, or until one team runs out of clones. |

Games are already on the long side. If anything, there should be a slaughter rule in place. If you lose control of ALL points, you have 60 seconds to flip one or your MCC retreats. |

Maybe a little longer than a minute but +1 for this idea anyway. After countless redlined matches on both ends, this would definitely help speed things up and detract from the yawn factor. |

I think 60 seconds is far too short, but I like this idea. |

I think the MCC should START to retreat after a minute with no cannons held, but will take time to leave the battlefield, and if you can tip the balance back in your favour, it'll turn back and keep fighting. |

I still don't think your MCC should take damage if you hold all the NULL cannons. If you want to shorten rounds just increase the amount of damage each NULL cannon inflicts.
I would think the Corp guys would favor this mechanic most of all, who want to be holding all the capture points, have plenty of clones left and lose the round? When this happens I feel my team has been cheated.
I like the slaughter rule mentioned above as well and it would greatly reduce the occurance of the above scenario. |
