As we all know (or do not know) the Imperfects won the testers tournament. I just received an e-mail stating some of their prizes though and I suppose the tournament winnings are much more then we were originally told? Seems they won two hundred and fifty million ISK?!?! That my friends is a lot of ISK to be had among various and other prizes which were thrown into the lot too. I hope you all at Imperfects enjoy yourselves and your earned victory. Hopefully though the next tournament will introduce and allow for even more participating groups, and be more solid with new gear and equipment to be shown off. This is but one tournament as well know, and I am sure we can expect a lot more in our future soon.
Congratulations again to the Imperfects, and their members. Have fun with all of that ISK.  |

its funny how 150m in eve can be earned from a day's ratting, while in dust you have to work your ass off, im glad its like this instead of grunts making the same pay as pilots.

I agree. The ratio and differences should be as such. Not because, I have an EVE account, but because this is not exactly the same game. Same galaxy [New Eden], and all of the political climate, but two different games nonetheless. It should be harder to make ISK for us [Dusters]. We're clones essentially and more precisely cannon fodder. Still two hundred and fifty million ISK is a lot to me, and I say congratulations to the Imperfects on winning. Wish it would have been my own corporation of course, but nonetheless good game, and congratulations.
Here is hoping to bigger and better tournaments though.  |

I heard otherwise, but that there would be other prizes to offset the low sum of prize money. I was told the winner would only be receiving twenty million in prize money. So to me the increase was better news. Nonetheless it is awesome to be a winner of such an amount in Dust514 here. |

Who cares about 250 million ISK when you get can billions from EVE.
Add to that that it's unlikely we'll even get the ISK after the next wipe. |

Yea prizes were listed and TCD won 50 mill in ISK but that was it. No Corps have yet to gain their prizes though.
@those that say who cares: Not all Dust players play eve or have EVE backing and In an interview on Podside with CMDR WANG he stated that the contracts will start with NPCs first with player Contracts to come later. So to have 50 mill in ISK that will be given to us every wipe is a big deal with so much time between here and then. |

Just curious as to why you say the isk will be reimbursed every wipe no where on the prize list does it say the isk will be reimbursed every wipe

Yeah, like the post above, the ISK is unlikely to be reimbursed after the next wipe. That is confirmed by CCP, but they would look into it and see if it was possible to reimburse it, but I doubt it.

I spoke with nullarbor and he said it's unlikely, but he said this because of the way it's worded in the competition post.
Personally I hope it's not, being in the best Corp is already a big advantage, then there's all the bpo items we already have (skinweave, bo lav etc)... Jut means less economic responsibility, and I want to wor / earn my way to the top. Not be put there because I have the isk. |

There both rich in there own ways, just one needs more pay because ships cost more. :) |
