This has probably already been requested a million times but we should really be given bonus WP for killing enemies in the vicinity of team controlled null cannons and other capturable sites. At least on public servers there is very little incenitive for hanging around control points your team controls when no enemies are nearby. My suggestion is +15 for defending depots and clone sites and +25 for defending null cannons.
Also, we need to be given WP for counter-hacking null cannons that have been hacked but not yet transfered to the enemy side. Right now, there is no incentive for counter-hacking because 1.) it takes 2x longer and 2.) you get no WP. It's better to just wait for the null cannon to flip sides and then immeadiately re-hack it before anyone can spawn in. This will net you +100 vs. 0.

Get a good squad leader. Get them to mark an objective.
You now get bonus points for any kills made near the objective. If you're near the objective sniping, that counts. If you're away from the objective sniping enemies at the objective, that also counts.
It's a good system.
You just need a competent Squad Leader. |

agreed. though i made a thread a while ago about WP bonuses i think offered nice additions. Especially regarding the WP multiplier ratiio for attack\defense orders. I'll dig it up. |

IMHO, Squad leader objectives should not be a replacement for a solid rewards system. If it is good gameplay mechanics, I feel it should have a reward. Helping a corp / squad / team do well is naturally important but not an excuse for having holes in the rewards system. Following orders should be a bonus. Either that, or we scrap the whole automated rewards program and make everything commander based. (imho an inferior choice)
I support the OP and agree it should be added to the WP rewards system, among other things such as mCRU vehicle spawns, scanning gear reveals, etc. |
