It-¦s pretty simple: Every hour you arent playing, you get a bit more passive SP as the hour before. The maximum you can get is 10 times the normal passive SP to prevent people from explointing it. It decreases by the same factor as it increases but per X minutes instead of an hour. |

The thing about passive SP is the same as with Eve. You can train something, but lack the ISK to buy the skillbook or actually use the item it needs due to lack of budget. Sure, passive SP is better than nothing, but you really do need to play in order to afford using nicer stuff than the infinite AUR/militia gear. |

I like the idea, but not on the scale of 10x the amount.
Say, if you can't get online for a couple days you should start getting twice the amount of passive.
See, I'm a casual player, and as much as I would like to get online every day, I can't. Passive xp should be primarily for those people who can't get online to play just as regular people do.
I would support something like "you don't get passive xp if you're online" so that if someone was online for 8 hours, they don;t get 8k sp, whereas someone who couldn't play that day would be getting that sp.
I just wish there was more of a balance between players who play often and those that don;t, so you can play a lot and get more isk to pay for more expensive dropsuits, or you can play less and get half of what the active players are getting. Right now, active players have a major advantage just by playing more, even if they get diminished rewards, since everyone gets the same diminished rewards.
Another idea: players that don't play as often don't get diminished rewards. |
