How many people do you idiots think would play COD.
If there was a couple of gunships in the air the whole match. And packs of dogs running around the whole match.
I'll tell you. About as many as play this carp. Sort it out CCP or your game on release well, actually I wouldn't release if I were you, it'll save a lot of Icelandic red faces. |

Dangit, hitting sour notes. Guess I"ll have to tuna fish.
Edit: Although I do find myself agreeing about one thing; dropships are still terrifyingly overused and weirdly balanced. They are not airborne APC's so much as death-from-above. I spent ten minutes dying to a spawn-camping dropship and wasted twice what I earned in the match 'cause I couldn't remember how to leave a match.  |

I do recall packs of dogs running around in CoD killing with one quick bite. Given the frequency of that I often hid inside the paper tanks to get away from them. It didn't seem to stop people from playing. |

OK for the slower amongst you.
Dogs, Gunships lasted for approx 30 secs to a minute. And you had to get them ny being good enough to earn a KS.
Now imagine if instead of 30 secs they lasted the whole match.
Get it now. Smarta$$. |

Doesn't really matter how long they last. A lot of people get them often enough to make it seem indefinite.
Or that's how it felt when I still played World at War and MW2. Might have changed in the last four years or so. Doubtful, but it might've. |

You can shoot down chopper gunners and gunships.
They do not last the entire length of the match.

You can shoot down drop-ships as well.
I shot one down during my last match, in fact.
Proper positioning with the SMG will do fine against ARs and the like. I still use the militia SMG and more often than not I'll come out ahead of assault and scout suits that try and get the drop on me, unless they have a shot gun and they're right next to me. |

I did, but your wrong.
If you were good or had a good group going, you could have chain gunships/attack dogs for days. You could keep those in play for the entire match easy. Even easier considering all those kills could be exactly what is needed to win said match and make it extremely easy to win the types that don't require them. Despite this, CoD was/is still the financial power house.
I get what your saying, but you made an extremely poor comparison. |

Your right, Nothing wrong with DUST. It's popular as hell. Missiles and snipers is cool.

Well, I wouldn't say that. You just made a bad comparison. Let's not forget joining a game in progress back in WaW and being steam rolled by the opposition who already has control of every tank on the field. What you presented happens in CoD and it is still extremely successful, so the answer to your question would be a bunch. Not sure if that period is supposed to be there, but if so, it's good that you love CCP and Dust. Not sure how much Eve has to do with the beta at this point in time, but more love is always welcomed! =D
Never said there was nothing wrong with Dust. Not sure how popular it could be given it's non-public beta status. Last I checked, news died down. Disagree on that last bit, missiles need to be toned down. Snipers I find ok. Not sure what the problem could be.
Didn't say that either. I simply said that if you were good or had a good team, you could chain them consistently. If you were just in a random lobby by your lonesome, you might be able to pull off the same thing, less consistent though. They can last the whole match because they shorten the match. By a lot. You can get crazy kills with them on those matches that aren't based on kills too, like 200 or so in a Domination match.
If you've never played CoD, then that would explain your faulty comparison =/
EDIT: What? I honestly can't tell if that "gut" is supposed to be "guy" and by extension, whether or not that "this" is supposed to be referring to me. |

Seriously though, CoD is crap and this is un-finished. You obviously want this game to be good else you wouldn't be posting right?. Or is this just a very bad troll?
The fact is that this game will be like BF and will contain many vehicles. It's not gonna change anytime soon all that will happen is that it will get a bit more "balanced" in the future. I put that in speech marks as I honestly don't think this game will truly be balanced, not like any other FPS out there anyway. |
