I was attempting to make a corp for my alt with this character since I had the money on this character and no way to transfer it. I accepted the alt to the corp and then clicked Make CEO; however when I did so I received an error message popup, which I forgot to write down . At the time I had forgotten to train the corporation skills, which probably didn't help matters. I switched to the alt and trained the skill and then switched back to this character. When I went to the Corp Member panel to Make CEO the option no longer appeared. I then attempted to Resign as CEO, the screen would flash and I left the menus, but I was still CEO. I repeated several times even quitting and logging back in all with the same result. |

I had the same problem before. You must train corporation management lvl 1 to your alt, and than transfer CEO to him. I did it that way and it works |

1. You can't make a character CEO without the relevant skills.
2. You can't resign as CEO without a valid member who can take the role.
3. (uncertain) You may not be able to make someone CEO unless they have been a member of the corp for at least 24 hours.
4. (uncertain) You can't hand over the reins to someone who isn't a Director.
3 and 4 I don't know for certain. I'm listing 4 based on a hunch, but 3 is based on testing of other aspects of Corp management that I've had to experiment with a few times. When you're a Director or CEO, and want to leave a corporation, you have to "remove all titles" then wait 24 hours before you can leave. Also, if you're within the 24 hour period and apply for membership in another corp, they'll get an error if they try to accept your application. |
