This is my final post. The nerfs to missile turrets have helped my infantry game tremendously. Gone are the days of tankers shooting from the safety of the red-zone. All of my forge gun targets went with them, however. Tanks are scarce sight on the battlefield now. Only those who skilled into multiple turrets show their faces on the ground.
Thank you guys for all of your help and support. You made this a fun experience for me. I hope to see you all on the battlefield. As such, I'm going to leave Piercing Blast alone and skill into forge guns on my main account.

Good to see another Heavy. Welcome to the club Buddy!! I have been following your posts with a good deal of interest and while I haven't seen you in game I'm sure you'll make a mighty fine Big game hunter. Something you might also want to look at is Flux grenades they suit my play style well as I tend to ambush HAV's and if you sneak up on a Shield tank and hit them with one it saves you a lot of time especially if they are a advanced or proto. I personally prefer the Assault forge guns when I'm up close but at range I prefer to be able to store a charge. If you see me in game give me a shout I'm always on comm's and we'll have a merry day hunting!!!
