If you didn't get that quote before that link then it is a good indicator of your age, or you're not huge on movies.

The Hobbit is one of my favorite books. Ever.
I can't tell you how hard I fanboyed when I first saw the trailer in theaters.
And then I fanboyed even harder when I heard the music. Good God, the music.
This is going to be my movie of the year, I can already tell. |

This is going to be a great film. So far my favorite movies this year are The Dark Knight Rises, and Cloud Atlas. As for being best movie of the year, TDKR is great, but Cloud Atlas, and probably, The Hobbit are going to be on another level.
For me, now it's between Cloud Atlas and The Hobbit. |

I read The Hobbit when I was in grade 4. I got some Beefaroni sauce on one of the pages. Was a really nice, green leather, hard-cover copy with illustrations and a sleeve and everything. It's weird that they're making a movie about it now. I guess I'll see the movie, but I'd rather see Lincoln, as I enjoyed Team of Rivals more than The Hobbit. |

TBH The Lord of the Rings should have been longer maybe 4 all together but they already had it planed for three, the hobbit was set for two but they had so much extra footage they decided to go three too. If you have read the books recently you can see where they can make three movies, a lot of climatic parts in the book with overtones to TLoR. |

That's a good point, but it could also mean they'll be following the book VERY closely. How many movies have you seen where they forgot a great part from the book? The Narnia movies are a good example, in the latest one they barely followed the book at all. |

Possible Spoilers, though most of it is my prediction of what the 2nd and 3rd films will be about.
Saw it yesterday. It was so awesome. Just to be back in Middle Earth was worth the price of admission. Also, yes, they do have a lot of stuff in the movie that Tolkien later wrote, but it's quite interesting. Such as The White Council, Radagast The Brown, and Dol Goldur, they will even have The Battle of Dol Goldur in the 2nd or 3rd film. And it's pretty huge.
As far as the 3 films go. I'm gonna assume it will be like The Lord of The Rings. In An Unexpected Journey, they journey around and encounter many things and fight too, just like in The Fellowship of The Ring. In The Desolation of Smaug, I feel it will be about their journey and the confrontation with Smaug, and the other half would be about The Battle of Dol Goldur, just like In The Two Towers, it was Frodo's and Sam's journey, along with The Battle of Helms Deep, mostly... And There and Back Again I think will mostly be about The Battle of Five Armies, just like the big battle, or many battles in The Return of The King. |

I saw the movie Thursday night at 12:00, waited 2hrs in 20 degree weather In Texas. But It was worth It!!! So many people were there just laughing and having a good time In line as we waited. When they finally let us In we played fun run In the theater for about 30 min. it was like one big family reunion. My teacher was even there and he watched It with me. It was he best time I ever had at the theaters hands down. |
