Quite tired of it tbh, you try and kill a Sniper and find you can't because he's behind a bit of terrain (or a building) that blocks him but lets him shoot through it. **** needs to be properly tested by your guys CCP. Just got killed by 3 different guys all doing the same ****, it's ridiculous (btw to the Snipers that are doing that, complete baddies, thanks for not posting an exploit, scrubs) |

Are YOU posting where they're shooting from in the map feedback section?
Find the shooters, confirm their locations, check if you can return fire, then report if you can't.
We ARE the testers. THAT'S WHAT BETA MEANS. |

It happens on every map mate. It's pretty ******* hard to "Confirm their Locations" when CCP hasn't given us a gridded map to specify exact locations on the terrain. They also have QA guys that can take a look and internally test ****, I'm commenting on the fact it's bugged. We find bugs, we don't have the tools to specify the exact locations. |

You can tell approximately where you are on the map, the direction they are from you, and EXPLAIN their position with reasonable accuracy when you know the maps.
I've wedged myself into a spiky outcropping on Manus Peak with a Shotgun once. I was halfway inside the terrain, I could only be hit from certain angles, and could shoot out on different angles to where I could be shot.
At the time, I didn't know the map well, and I'm not 100% sure where on the map it was, but if I can confirm that, or reproduce it, I'll be posting a full report. If I see someone else in there, I'll post the same report, but from the opposite perspective. |

ARs were doing this when they had their rediculous ranges damage wasn't registering a good portion of the time. |

this has been posted by me at least two times already. I also posted in detail on how to do it. |

The problem needs to be solved in the terrain engine itself, not on a case by case basis. There are going to be way too many maps that are going to be way too big to sort out every little hit detection issue with the terrain. Its an issue of the terrains hitbox being much larger then or at least out of alignment with the terrain itself. I run into the problem all the time and its most apparent sniper v sniper where we often both unload our clips into each others heads from across the map but nothing registers due to the hit detection on the terrain one of us is hiding behind. A similar problem exists with hit detection around a lot of structures such a the pillars around the capture points however in each instance I've experienced, if you can't hit them due to the terrain then they can't hit you without moving at least a little to clear the screwed up hitbox
This is a serious issue that needs to be address before release. The collision detection on the terrain has to be perfect or damn near close to it and extra care has to be taken if any terrain is going to be generated such as the way the planet textures in eve are. You can have all the cool feature in the world but if something such as this isn't addressed by launch the game will fail to retain the interest of a large portion of the gaming community

one of the biggest sniping issues Ive noticed is you can sit there and hit and kill player X at 200 yards, but then line up on player Y at 100 yards and make no contact at all. Sights lined up in both cases, no impeding obstacles or anything , but the closer 1 takes no damage.
I can understand certain targets being out of range, due to acquired SP (sharpshooter etc), but when I can beat down 1 person at a certain distance, and then cant even scratch a player much closer ... something is amiss |
