was running solo. Happened a bunch this afternoon. I can always tell because it takes forever to find a match then load into it. |

Same here I've seen a mash up of EU players and US players in many matches recently and it had nothing to do with where the squad leaders were from. |

There is one server (Singularity) where our characters, assets, etc. are hosted, yes. The battles however take place on local battle servers that host matches. There are NA, EU, and Asia specific battler servers. |

As for the OP, you might as well get used to it, its an international game and if you intend to take part in the big meaningful stuff your going to get put on servers other then NA. |

It's more than likely the fact that there's pretty much nobody online. Well, that's when it seems to dump me on the US servers anyway. If I'm playing really late and the matchmaking is taking ages, I can guarantee that I'll be stuck somewhere in the US or Asia.
With all the big console releases lately I can't see there being many people playing Dust at the moment, even more so with BO2 being released today. This place will probably be a ghost town for a few weeks. |

I agree its due for most part to low population. I have quite a bit of frame rate stutter even in NA servers so when i have a ping of 200+ and end up on EU if i go 1/9 it would be a good game.
Its especially frustating with in a squad because a lot of times if I dont leave match I will get disconnect or kicked back to MQ anyways.
I have hope for new scrubs soon to help with this |

I can connect to AU servers with little to no lag, maybe I just have an exceptional isp, or maybe yours is just bad :P but I'm waiting impatiently for when we can choose our own battles again. |
