Though they did not bring as many sturdier tanks as ROFL, I had to constantly analyze the positioning of enemy vehicles to get safe shots with my railgun (5,400+ dmg). Uplinks were also being used in massive amounts to the point were I would've carried a metal detector if I was on foot. For trying to go around the middle road I ended up having an enemy dropship shoot me from above twice, but thankfully it wasn't enough. The one guy who truly stood a chance of blowing up my tank was Ty Borg (lost 2 or 3 tanks out of 4 by Ty). I would've have lost a 5th tank but fortunately I had a LAV outfitted with 2 remote shield reppers to restore my shielding at one moment in the second round. Once my team made a push in the battlefield I was able to take down some dropshis before they could even leave their spawn as well as taking down multiple tanks (2 did survive drops from bolas). Overall, this was great experience for me as a tank driver and hope to be in future tournaments.
GG Alldin, probably the toughest tank games I've ever played. Pretty gutted we ditched the spider tanks tactic we were thinking of using now, but oh well "Captain Hindsight" and all lol.
Some really good positions you found and it was really hard to get a shot, even when I had the jump on you. I'm not sure about the damage figures being bounced about though, my Sagaris was 6.5k shields or there abouts and you were taking two shots to kill me, the same went for my damage if I could hit you, but missile spam is just pants for accuracy and I had no rail skills So had to go with what I had.
Tbh, I didn't have an issue with the Forge guns. I knew Kain would be the biggest issue and I only felt his presence in the game when you and he were at A, I just couldn't get near you. In my honest opinion the linch pins of your tactics we're you and Tiel.
I didn't realise it at the time, but I'm pretty sure the reason the first match was so close was because I managed to keep him back and a few of the dropships as they came in. This enabled us to gain some ground, but I couldn't move at all due to you having me pinned from "English Snake" hill Tiel's spot just sealed the deal in the other matches, if I hit him he'd die in one shot, but the shot was near impossible without you and him getting me also. Gun game was pretty damn close from what I was seeing too so it wasn't just gun game that won these battles, far from it. Logistics on both sides obviously played a huge part.
Don't read that as a QQ btw ,as these matches were probably the best I've ever had in this game to date and I look forward to many more, (Although my wallet doesn't!).
