Would like to see a weaponless Logistics Dropship with more Armor and Shielding.
Perhaps starting at a base of 4000 on either side would be good, with some more PG to actually make it a lot stronger. Increase the SP gain from shooting it down too.
Thoughts? |

Maybe, though I can't but help think that folks would be attracted to killing something that can't shoot back. |

Well, it's be a lot stronger to fight off (Think about dropships on roids :D) So, it'll be time consuming, I mean, by the time it's dropped of its infantry and gone away, it might not even be low on HP. It's probably more worthwhile focusing on the Infantry jumping out of it than trying to shoot it down. |

I'd say a heavier variant with a lot more armor/shielding, much slower and easier to control, able to carry 8 people, and the ability to using cloaking modules. |

You're going to need a LOT more HP if you're seriously going into a combat zone flying a sluggish vehicle without weapons or escorts alongside. Like on the order of twice that of an HAV. And if it's flying as you say, then the size of the "kick me" sticker is at least as big as a Freighter-class ship in EVE. As your suggestion stands now, it would cost less ISK to just hand out Star Trek red shirts and hope for the best.
Here are your options to make this suggestion more viable:
>1 360-degree turret instead of a kick-me sticker for defense >Make the MCC a full passenger+strategy vehicle instead of a roving objective/spawn - almost the same thing! >Add ECM defenses >Increase distance between spawns and objectives on maps, then add the ability to carry ground vehicles inside. You now have a DUST version of the C-5 jet. >Change from a transport to a heavy-bomber, and have it release with fighter vehicles. Instant WWII-style fights. |

I think it sucks that you have to fit any weapon on w-slot because otherwise you will not be able to spawn. When someone want to focus on logistic equipment every single CPU/PG spend on main weapon count. I think there should be some extended alternative to modules like Repairing Tools or Scanning Tool that can be fited to weapon slot, and players should be able to left w-slot empty. |

I just had an insanely awesome idea...
Logistics Dropships should have one Small Turret and one VARIABLE-USE slot that can be a Small Turret OR an extra High Slot. Or Low Slot. Maybe both. Maybe one or the other depending on racial variant/manufacturer.
And that would pave the way for an about-to-be created suggestion thread for variable-use Module Slots. |
