Before I place this in the bug section.....I want to know if anyone else has issues running? I have to press really hard down on my left analog stick (L3) to run. I would press L3, I would start to run but then stop and then I have to press really hard so I could run and keep running.
I bought a brand new controller so it is not the controller. I go on bf3 and it is fine. But when I play dust, running is such a chore......I'm wondering if it is the same for everyone?? |

Yes. Same thing.
Sometimes it needs pressed/depressed/pressed (repeat) before run works.
-No its not your controller. I have 4 controllers and its the same with each one. I thought maybe it had to do with some type of stamina but maybe not. |

I've had this happen on occasion where I couldn't run pressing L3, I put it down to an overused DS3. It could be what your describing here. |

should it be this bug where you cant move at all (or atleast not sideways), in my case its as if an invis wall pushes be mack to the same spot (sideway-wise), All i do is crouch and stand back again, this fixes the problem 80% of the time, for me atleast, or death, that fixes it 110% of the time |

I really wish I could record the stuff that happens and post here for ccp to see for themselves. Because some things you have to see in order to understand. |

I have also had this issue. Sometimes running works and sometimes it just keeps deactivating right away (regardless of stamina). Quite frustrating. |

It's not your controller. It's the server. My forge gun won't full charge too. I believe you're rubber bending. |

It's not just you. This tends to occur more on the 5-point maps(the amount of particulate dust in the air used to affect it too, not 100% sure if it still does - seems to me like it still does). I think rubberbanding would be accurate as the cause of the effect. It also happens with R1 on weapons that need that button depressed, swarm launchers for the locking cycle and forge guns for the charging cycle.
Alsoooo......DUST doesn't play nice with the SONY 7.1 surround sound wireless headset. If you're using one of these it may help if you turn off the surround sound and/or unplugging and replugging the dongle - the symptoms for this problem are exactly as you describe.
I have the SONY, and this sometimes(50%) helps. |

This is the first time I've heard of this fix - will be trying this asap and reporting back to this thread. Thanks for the tip, InukamiHai. |

Its not really rubberbanding.....I've rubberbanded before and this is something different. Running isn't as fluid as it should be. It is an effort to run, I really have to press hard on L3 |

I sometimes have this happen.
Jumping usually fixes it as well (not as reliable as crouching though... more like 90%) |

I have the same issue with sprinting, fortunately not as frequently as you by the sounds of it.
Although, my biggest annoyance is when I try sprinting in the middle of a fire fight & the support menu pops up! That grinds on me as by the time I cancel the menu, I'm half dead. This seems to happen at least 80% of the time when I get into CQC situations.
Anyone else have a similar thing? |

I have had all of the issues discrbed here besides this one. I did have this happen to me once, but it was when I died. I couldn't get it to go away until I left the game. |

I have the same R3 sprint problem. Click to sprint works for a milisecond then off. I, too, thought it was a controller problem. I'm convinced now that it's a bug. Happens to me on flat ground, so I should not be "tripping" on terrain to turn off sprint. Might be a collision-detection problem? |
