I recieved my Dust 514 closed beta code just recently and was wondering how does one create / join a corporation in Dust 514. I have tried to find out how to do so on the forums but I cant find this info.
Does anyone know how to create / join a corporation in Dust 514. |

Bring up the menu while in game and move the cursor down to Corporation (I think, not at the console atm). There are three options there, one that lets you check your current corp, find a different corp, or create your own. Creating your own needs the skill to at least 1, and 1.6m isk. When you search for a corp, just remember to put in the spelling exactly as the corps name is, you can't just look through a list right now (at least I haven't figured out how to yet). Capitalization is important! |

L1 to bring up the Neocom.
3rd item from the bottom of the list is "Corporation".
"Search" lets you find a corp to apply for, press X on any corp that shows up, and you have the option to apply for membership in the corp.
While you're in one of the game's NPC corporations, you'll have "Create Corporation" as the last option in the list.
When you're in a player corp, this changes to "Edit Corporation" and apparently there's no way to create a new corporation once you're in a player-run corp. They should fix that... unless there's something I'm missing? |

Hiya! In order to create a Corporation, you'll need the skill Mercenary Corporation Management at level 1 (at least) and 1,590,000 ISKs. In order to join or a Corporation, you should visit the Corporation menu in your NEOCOM. I also suggest you to visit our forum section Corporation Recruitment in order to find a Corporation or advertise your new one :)
EDIT: you guys are quick! |

@Garrett Blacknova: You have quit the existing Corporation and you'll be automatically assigned to a NPC one. After that, you'll be able to create another Corp. When you create a new Corp, the role that will be assigned to you is CEO, so that means that you cannot be a member of a player Corp at the same time, since there is no such a thing like "nested" Corporations. Did I answer yo your question, Garrett? |

I didn't see any "quit corporation" options anywhere.
Found it now though. Apparently the completely unintuitive description for the "quit" option is "remove all roles".
Thanks for making me take a closer look! |

And just bumping this because, apparently, it still didn't work.
It let me remove myself from the corp for that session, but when trying to create a new corp, I was told there was a "stasis period" preventing me from creating a new corporation.
When i quit the game and signed back in, I'm back in the corp I'd been trying to quit. And I still can't create a new corp.
So yeah, that's broken and needs fixing. |

You have to wait 24 hours after removing roles before you can leave. |

I removed roles and the game said I was already gone from the corp.
I checked 24 hours later, certain that I don't have any roles, and only have the "remove all roles" option.
I tried that again, and it said I had left (again). I'm apparently still in the corp now.
EDIT: So apparently after my THIRD attempt at removing roles, the system finally actually allowed me to quit the corp. Good times. |
