I don't have a HD tv to play on at the moment. So words on screen are pretty hard to see on PS3 games.
I am looking around, but I am trying to figure out how the Skill system works. Do I level up or something to get skill points?
What the icons on the skill list mean when trying to buy skills?
Also ISK, how does that work? Not sure what it for. |

skill points are used to upgrade skills, which give you small bonuses in either passive stats (like shields, or armor) or aggrasive stats like weapon power. other skills unlock better gear.
For example, if you upgrade the Assault rifle skill, it'll unlock other, higher tier assault rifles. Such as the GEK, or proto guns. All other weapon operation skills do the same thing for their respecting weapons.
ISK is the currency. This is used to buy the weapons, suits, and equipment you skilled up for. You gain ISK by playing in matches. You gain more ISK/Sp the better you do in a game.
you cannot use weapons you do not have the skills to use. Press triangle on a weapon, and right bumper (or trigger, i forget which one) to swap through a few pages so you can see what skills a particular piece of equipment needs in order to be used. |

Hi Trey welcome to dust. Firstly ISK (pronounced isk not I.S.K btw) is your in game currency u use it to buy all the skill books, weapons, suits, suit modules, and vehicles u want to use. Remember tht all items are expended on death so if you die u have to buy another suit (unless the item has a blue box around it thts a blueprint original or bpo and has unlimited uses; these items are typically bought with real cash in the form of aurum, another game currency). To get more isk just hop in a battle and at the end ull get some isk based on ur participation and time spent in the match. Ull notice tht at the end of a match u get skill points(sp) as well. You use these sp by applying them to skills ur character knows in order to upgrade ur characters abilities and the items he can use. Skills Max out at lvl 5 and some are easy to train like electronics, weaponry, and mechanics (these are base or x1 skills) while some are harder to train like forge gun operation (I believe this is a x4 skill which requires 4 times the amount of skill points of a x1 skill just to train it to lvl 1, not to mention that it also has a sub-requirement of having weaponry skill to lvl 3 I believe). If there is a skill u want tht ur character doesn't know u will need to buy a skillbook to learn it (u only ever need to buy one) u can buy skill books through the market or directly from ur skill sheet. Now the marks ur referring to I think those are the lvl markers for ur skills, tht is if its on the right side of the skill, I'm just guessing here cus I obviously can't see wat u see. |
