I wasn't part of that, but it has happened to me as well. It is unfair to call out Zion for this, when other corporations are also doing this as well.
My thought, when this happened to me by other corps - I'll spawn at the home base instead. |

Reminds me of times of other builds. Are you 100% certain Zion was flying both DS? I ask because Zion is often top of the boards. Also, JAQ13 is not a DS pilot or gunner - he likes grenades. :) |

I don't know about both, but at least one. They were the only people with kills on their team. |

The spawn point on that one is broken. It's open on both sides with litle to no cover like the other maps. One DS could have covered both sqawn points on either side.
First rule I learned my first week in game back in May: start running while on the load screen.

No point in calling anyone out for that. Redline + ds in current build is just brutal. Save yourself some isk and just leave before you spawn in.
Also OP I am pretty sure you wouldn't pass up a chance to redline someone in the gunners seat of a drop ship.
Why anyone expects other players to not use the mechanics ccp gave us (flawed and all) is beyond me.
I hate getting killed by ds missile spam just as much as the next person but acting like you are disappointed that a corp or merc would do such a thing is just stupid.

I don't get into dropships anymore. I think they are cheap and unfair.
Whenever I redline someone, I at least have some courtesy and don't keep them from spawning. |

Your are entitled to your opinion. As for redlining in general, all is fair in love and war. I agree with Free Bears on that.
Does it suck that the DS camped you? Yes. Has it happened to me? Yes. Do I complain? No - for the reasons that Free Bears gave.
That having been said, I admire your attempts to break it - many people crawl into a fetal position. |

If corporations actively do something yet don't want to be called out on that aspect, then I don't believe they should continue on doing that thing. |

I agree with Forlorn Destrier and Free Bears. When I jump into a match that's getting red lined I do my very best to turn it around, and on occasion the tides have been reversed. One person can make a difference, if you can get a drop uplink way back behind enemy lines or cap a CRU and depot so you guys can switch to AV and take out the dropships. There are always going to be frustrating matches, not all of which will include redlining. HTFU, as they say in EVE. The idea of locking on and firing while you drop from the MCC is a great one, thinking like that will get you far in this game. |

Wow! Wheres ROFL House and the Imperfects on this list. And how about your Tank Missile SPAM from across the map Debacle? Whos QQing OP now?
I for one have Never seen TCD do this and so if it happen once in one map while Corps are working on Tourney tactics I think someone needs a diaper change
Yea I called you out on your own post. Anyone here has fell victim to those missiles behind a redline. |

Yep. Trying to take down dropships and un-redline my team is where my KD/R takes a nose dive, but I push anyway. I'm not going to say I'm so awesome I do it all the time or even often but I have turned the tide before simply by getting around behind the enemy lines and dropping an uplink.
They need to addres the one map you can roll directly up under the MCC on (and the ability to kill people inside with splash damage), but redlining is not an exploit, it's war. Killing people with splash damage inside the MCC is, most likely, an exploit, and should eventually be fixed. However, while running squads for Zion I have, occasionally, relented, and gotten my mates to back off to let the reds out, just because red lining gets boring (from both directions). |

As a drop ship pilot, I say anyone who red lines the enemy is a cheap player, who sucks so much he can't get kills fair and square. Spawn campers are the bane of every single video game out there, and I will never stoop to their level. However, If we have you pinned in your base and my drop ship is on the field and we're not even killing you, and you bring out forge guns and swarms, that's when it get's personal and we start the slaughter.
