In Resistance 2 the HVAP Wraiths and the Augers had deployable shields. While the HVAP Wraith had the shields on the weapon itself and moved with the weapon the Auger had to be deployed manually.
Could we please have the same option for forge guns only?

Forge guns are fine. I don't think they need added defense. A deployable shield bubble as a piece if equipment would be interesting though. |

Yep. Forge guns are fine. Its the heavy behind a forge gun that is not fine. Thats why the shield option for the forge gun. I have another topic for the shield bubble or riot shield. |

Would be good for giving heavies defense in AV battles where they are too slow to avoid splash damage.
You really need to take the time to explain in the OP how something like this would be good for the game, as well as the limitations, and balance points, otherwise everyone will just kitten on your ideas. |

Lolol. I drive a tank too and I say it is needed. With the way missile launchers you can sit back in your spawn and snipe people across the map. I see heavies firing at me with their forges and I OHK them.
Shield tanks are the worse. Just hide behind a rock and spawm missiles. Put in a friggin shield hardner and you can pad your KD. Even OBS dont get you.
Heavy Forge Gunners need some love. |

We don't need the auger shield or wraith shield. Just let them exist in the resistance world. |

All these people calling for shields on heavies must be totally crap or stupid forge gunners. The ones who are any good only ever get a glancing blow if their in cover and it's usually not enough to kill them.
Are you that dumb you try using the forge in the open?. It's an AV sniper rifle, would you snipe out in the open too? |

In my opinion this is a terrible idea, if anything they should get vehicle weapon resistance or something, not shields. If they had shield they would never go down when people used them for Anti-Infanty, which a lot of people do. Your only problem is that they cant take punishment from vehicle turrets, hence some sort of heavy only skill or module that will increase their resistance to vehicle turrets etc. |

i would rather see a electroniv version of a riot shield that you could use to block damage for urself and a small area in front of you, but can attack while using except for melee |
