Well with Corporation Armories coming in future updates I can see Gun Collector Corporations selling weapons and equipment to Mercenaries.
By Gun Collector Corporations I literally mean Corporations that focus on collecting weapons and equipment on the battlefield for players to use. Sure the market will allow for individual players to do this without a corporation but they share the same type of positives with real-life counterpart businesses i.e. Reliability.
Anyways. I wanted to ask others what kind of Corporations they can see on the Dust side of the EVE Universe?
I can think of...Spy/Intel Trading Corporations? Maybe even Role Specific Corporations like Recons (In the stealth, intelligence collecting sense) or Snipers where the members are excellent at their roles. |

Oh ya covert ops dust corps will emerge. I can picture it now a seemingly trustworthy dust corp joins an alliances of enemies. they fight battles for them but at the same time giving away internal memos to there rival entity.

Problem with that is people get called out for it and you can't ever change your name/corp name etc so you're stuck with your actions and reputations. Once you've been labeled as doing something like that it will forever stick with a corp. |

Such is the way of New Eden.

As many different types of corps as people setting them up. PVP, industrial, market gamers, role players, awoxer/infiltration, mercs, pirates, carebears, faction warfare, incursion runners, wormholers, sov war, etc.

<.< Pirates? How would they work? Same question about the Industrial Corps.
And wtf is a Carebear Corp?
Also yeah they'll be forever branded but the only thing about those Spy corps is that they'll have to be very...complex to avoid information mishandling and leaking. Dummy corps, and other things. Kinda crazy but if it works, it works.

Carebear is slang for player that doesn't want to pvp, just run pve missions.
In EvE, pirates can find and kill players doing pve, kinda like a real person poping up during a campaign on the bots side in a normal fps. I hope we can do this, a fps first I think. |

Trader corporations will be a big thing...I do think that EVE Corporation owned Dust Corporations, Corporation Armies for short, will be a big thing as well. You have EVE Corporations that have made daughter corporations here but the difference between Corporation Armies and daughters corporation is that the flexibility.
Think about it. Daughter corps aren't true "Dust Corporations" because they're owned completely by EVE Corporations. Corporation Armies are owned by EVE Corporations BUT they have an extended contract that gets renewed in a set period of time. They're not stuck in that position and can move on to work for other Corporations and can even become independent in the EVE realm.
Why would a EVE Corporation want a Corporation Army? Because these guys will more than likely be more experienced than Daughter Corporations since their main focus is winning battles. Big gain and big risks, sounds just like New Eden. |
