I didn't get much chance to check it out because my team as at about 15 clones when I joined, but there was a HAV, two LAVs, and a dropship overhead, all on the same team. The HAV and the LAVs were parked very close to each other. My theory is that the LAVs were there to provide remote reps to the HAV (Although according to my killstream at least one of the LAVs was an Onikuma, a militia LAV and not the logi) while the dropship provided air cover.
If that's what was going on, bully to you guys. That's pretty awesome. |

I've seen a few instance of tanks using unmanned lav's just to give swarm launchers a hard time by making locks on the tank harder to get. |

That is nothing, yesterday I had the match from hell, 2 Tanks, 3 Dropships. Just clicked leave battle ASAP, no point to that mess...
Two Tanks, I have won against that. Two dropships, won against that too. Two Tanks and a Dropship, very very hard... More than that, to hell with it! |

I once joined an LAV pack in a battle- a swarm of at least 4 of us with a few gunners driving around crushing and shooting everyone for about 30 seconds until we all got AV'd.
Also, it is possible to fit an onikuma with a shield transporterthingamajig- it just won't be nearly as good as a logistics one |

i love when enemies call in a single vehicle. our dropship proceeds to fly over their head at the start of the match and start ripping them apart before they have a chance to make kills.
of course every time that happens the pilot usually leaves the game.
i think once the real game comes out if you aren't piloting a vehicle or using a good form of anti vehicle you are going to be worthless.
either have to be a dedicated gunner or die. |
