I was wondering when/how I can get to use the orbital strike function? I've been playing for awhile now and still have no idea of which skill tree I need to invest in to get an orbital strike. Help lead this killer in the right direction, THX |

You earn it by killing loads of enemies.
I've only earned it once in about 150 matches.

Yuni you need to be a squad leader and issue a lot of commands. make sure your squad mates are always following them. and when you reach 800+ WP you can initiate the OB. |

Oh, so Orbital Strikes are issued in game? Oh. And it depends on being lucky enough to be the squad leader and have mates that follow ur orders? that sucks. Thx guys |

Actually your squad must earn 2500 war points in a match; how they are earned doesn't matter. You get bonus points for accomplishing something (like a kill, hack, etc) when an order to kill, capture, defend etc is given and you are close enough to the origin point.
The best way is to work in a squad and concentrate tactics. Once earned, the squad leader can call in the strike. Note: squad leader doesn't get bonuses.
My advice: organize your own squad instead of joining a random squad. Best way to do this is by joining a corp like mine. Feel free to apply and request an interview.
The squads I run in routinely get 2 strikes per match.

From Neocom > Social, you can search for Zion TCD using the search function. You can then click on the corp name and submit an application. Be sure to put into the application what your experience in game is, and the style of play you enjoy most. If leadership likes what you have to say, they will contact you for an internview, and hopefully you will be accepted. |

There's a little confusion here in terminology.
Squad leaders can call in Precision Strikes after earning 2,500 WP in a match. They're called up out of the same menu that lets you call in vehicles.
Orbital Bombardments or Orbital Strikes actually require you to coordinate with an EVE player, who has to be over the area you're fighting in. I believe Singularity's been closed to EVE players again, so this feature is on temporary hiatus. |
