'Star Wolf' or Wolf O' Donnel is a Mercenary corporation owner of the team 'Star Wolf' offering logistics and strike fighter attack support. Its assumed they also have a 'carrier' in their possession capabilities but they take great care not to expose it as its likely unarmed. Team Star Wolf is usually contracted by Corneria System Defense Forces in dire need, at other times however he will work with anyone even the unsavory Corneria pirates.

Former Independence War Vet (best guesses it was from the Federation of Planets) he and James McCloud founded their own mercenary corporation together after Corneria severely downsized their military to more of a peace time sizes after no longer needing it. James McCloud apparently had connections and had vested stock and ownership of technology firms which produced arms and weapons to the CDF, this netting him the ownership of several advanced Arwing Fighters and the Battlecruiser 'Great Fox". WIth the Independece war over the firms turned their attention to new research and development efforts to which James would help testing of.

One experiment with FTL travel possibilities created by Dr. Andross however would claim James life supposedly.
Dr. Andross was exiled to the prison planet Venom for the disaster, where he would later raise an army to take on Corneria for revenge.

Wolf who was assuming he was going to become the new leader of the star fox team however was seemingly written out of that contract and the company was to shift hands to Peppy and eventually James' son Fox McCloud.

Wolf Left the team swearing revenge on James one day. However as he and Fox continue to fight he begins to earn some level of respect for the young rival.
