Hi,
I have just braved the voice fear and ordered and had delivered a Bluetooth headset. It's a bit crappy, but it's a headset none-the-less.
However, I can not get it to work.
Solider(add some numbers) was kind enough to try and help me yesterday by forming a squad and testing it.
I have added the headset to the BT accessories on the PS
I have turned ON voice chat
I have tried both push to talk on and off
I have turned on the chat in whichever channel I needed to
I can hear the comms from through headset
I can hear myself in the PS3 accessory menu where you adjust the mic sensitivity
However, no one can hear me.
Anby ideas?

when you on DUST 514 can you see a mic icon to the left of the screen? Is this mic icon turning green when you speak?
have you brought the UVT in the store?
push has to be off. |

Some other issues that can help.
- try turn on your HS before you go and run game.
- If you got dc and game had to soft-restart... to got back to voice server you must hard restart game. |

Have your set both input and output devices in the XMB to the headset ... I had some troubles with my old one when they were set to system default device ... switching them to the specific device doesn't do any harm and might solve your problem. |

I do have the icon, but I think it stays white. - though, when testing in the PS menu's I CAN hear myself and see the colour bars move in response to my volume.
Yes, I did purchase the UVT.

I'll try this. BUT, I could hear my squad mate through the headset, so from that perspective, I know it's working.

I have switched them to the headset. When I did so, the comms I could hear moved from my main speakers through to the headset, so I know that worked.
Please please keep any suggestions coming.

to save yourself and everyone else's time....seriously...
do this......
search for VOIP or HEADSET or MIC
I kid you not, if you search for those terms, and read them...you will find all the possible fixes we have all come up with short of fixing CCP's servers for them. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. You'll have to deal with it until they go live...which by then it's fixed hopefully for people. |

If it's the same problem i have what i do is turn my mic off and on again.(If this doesn't work reset game.) |

in this build there's a bug in the voice system that if you don't see the speech bubbles you have to reboot dust. |
