Duvolle Assault Rifle Max Range: 87m Optimal Range: 1 - 39m Meta Level: 8
A LOWER meta level weapon has a LONGER reach/distance??
Please fix.
It needs to be level 7 META: 87Meteres max distance GEK-38 And level 8 META : 92 meteres max distance Duvolle Assault rifle.

Well the 'Killswitch' is an AUR weapon where as the Duvole is an isk weapon. The AUR weapons have performance boosts to have a similar performance as a weapon a level or two higher. In this case, the 'Killswitch' has a small range boost over the Duvole, but it does a little less damage. These slight differences in functionality as well as lower skill requirements are part of the ideology behind AUR weapons. They balanced the slight range increase with a slight damage decrease. |

Nope! Since with light weapon sharpshooter and light weapon sharpshooter proficiency its a distant valley when you are being killed by someone who is OUT OF RANGE of your PROTOTYPE weapon.
A damage boost on a prototype weapon means ZIP! when you are out of range.
92 versus 87. 92 plus 25% is 23m plus 92 equals 115m Versus 87 plus 25% is 108.75m
This sounds trivial until you get killed from weapons that have longer range than you have. Its just a few meteres but by the time you move in closer your shields are gone and its time to retreat. |

I understand your frustration all too well. Just explaining why it is the way it is and that it's as CCP intended. Just reinforces the axiom "Adapt or die.". |

Cause they want to make money and have people buy the AUR guns, its pretty obvious this game is a stealth p2w. |

Of course CCP wants to make money. That's how they cover their overhead. But if Dust were pay to win, AUR weapons would have significant bonuses like significantly higher range, damage, rate of fire, and ammo capacity while having significantly lower reload time, power grid requirements, CPU requirements. |

the real reason is because if you go looking in the stores diffrent guns have diffrent types, generally there are 2 to 3 types per gun. some types however skip meta levels. with the assualt rifles theres a:
high damage, low range gun average damage, average range low damage high range.
the fact that some guns are AUR doesnt really take precedence here. it just so happens you are comparing the high range one vs the average range one. hell go look at the third type... its got all of like 32... 38 MAX range? |
