Hello,
I've been wondering, whats the big difference for Scout vs Gallente Scout? The idea I want is a fast/sneaky close combat user, but they both seem to be able to handle this. What is the better choice here that people think?
I know the Gal Scout you can fit armor on it, but I hear it is not a very good idea if you want to do fast/close range sneaky combat, but I also hear the Gal scouts have more PG/CPU. My question on top of this is if they are easier to detect vs regular scouts.
Overall, what are the pro/cons? Are they both (eventually) getting a cloak on them? I know regular scouts apparently will be in the future, but what about Gal scouts? |

With the exception of Militia and (possibly) aurum variants all the Scout suits in the beta are Gallente. I doubt you would actually armor tank them any more than you'd armor tank a Taranis. |

Don't ever armor tank a scout suit. A GEK Assault rifle will be able to clear that extra armor out in a few rounds. You will never survive. That and the speed is hindered greatly which is something you need to get the hell out of dodge in case you find yourself in a bad situation. |

The Amarrian scout may armour tank when we get it, but will probably involve hardeners instead of plates.
All the current scouts are Gallente(possible exception of dragonfly and militia, but i doubt it), the other races will need a different skill to use their scout suits. |

Depending on your fit, you may want an armor repairer to repair your armor after each engagement. Since you have little to begin with it repairs to full health very quickly. You may want something else in that low slot however. |

I prefer dampeners and cpu modules to fit more gear over a small sprint bonus. If anything, I use the militia 25% stamina reserve booster if nothing else fits. |

I like:
Dragonfly Scout Suit Complex shield extender Militia/basic armour repairer Basic shield regulator Toxic SMG x2 AV grenade
Downgrading to an extended shield extender frees a lot of PG/CPU. Costs just over 10,000 isk. |

All Scout suits - Dragonfly, Milita and Aurum versions included - use the same model in-game. At least for now, they're ALL the same Gallente design.
All our currently-available Assault suits are Caldari.
Amarr make the only Heavy design seen so far.
And take a wild guess at the source for our Logi suits. |
