I like the physics to it. It's not crazy like in the previous build. I can actually land it safely, but not to the extent that I can tea bag players. I wasn't even focusing on killing players. I just wanted to feel the flight. I like the sound and the vibration feel on the dropship.
Swarm Launchers have trouble chasing at me, although I want to tell everyone that this isn't the case once Web Generator is added to the game. Unless CCP aren't going to implement this skill. I was reading a lot of threads and nothing that the player base knows about this Web Generator. |

Oh we all know about that thing but for now it exist only on paper. By the way if you want to have a funny experience then go for a gorgon (militia dropship) and put a afterburner module on it. |

Myron FTW, but yeah, I hope you've put some good shields on those babies, because ADV BFG will rip you a new one. Also kamikaze pilots will take you out sacrificing their ship, happened to me two days ago.
Swarming works if you've got more than half-a-brain & upped the skill. I have 3700hp shields and can be killed by swarms when I try to get my gunners shots & protect objectives, because of splash flipping. The problem is that swarming should be done when DS pilot is over-confident, not when he's running straight your way or running away from other swarms. Basically if he's cruising idly, killing your peeps and whatnot, you swarm him from below/back. 50/50 chance of flipping him 180 and making him crash in the ground. Add one BFG and you can quickly change his bang bus into a short flaming coffin party.
I would know. I fly and swarm. My gunner guns and HMGs/BFGs. And people (died) this weekend. ;-) |

I'm sure I'll get this baby leveled up. I hate losing a dropship, It feels like I'm going bankrupt. |

Has anyone used the shield hardeners? Due to the cumbersome module wheel I am still using Azeotrophic shield extenders.

swarms wouldn't have such a huge problem with catching drop ships if they didn't fly towards where the drop ship was the second you fired. By the time those missiles reach that area, the drop ship would already me 100 meters away, giving it a head start to out run the swarms.
if this little issue was fixed, drop ships would not be a huge threat like they are now. |

double edged sword, it does allow them to fly around buildings the dropship may be hiding behind, more variants of swarm launcher maybe/ |

i have trouble seeing a web generator.
if it was an equipment it would probably have a limited range and dropships would just fly out of the range and get away. meanwhile a tank gets webbed and one of the gunners will just hop out and mow you down with assault rifle.
so if they did have one it would most likely only be used for dropships and nothing more. making it a very situational weapon that not many would pick up. |
