During the day lag is occasional, irritating, and aggravating, but manageable. Always around 9pm or so every night for the last few weeks lag has been unbearable. Every map, every game mode. Once in a while when you get onto a map with only a couple of players, you can handle it ok, but the majority of the time it is just insane.
I don't know if it matters, but I;m always squadding up so I don't know if it happens when you play solo.
For example on Line harvest just tonight. I was by the supply depot to the East of where objective C usually is in a skirmish match (I was in an ambush match). I tried to point myself towards B generally since the lag was so bad and just try to run there in a haphazard way. I held to the left a bit to try to go around some of the pillars sort of. One frame I was on the platform next to the supply depot, then the next frame I was standing exactly where Objective A usually is. Somehow I had angled so much that I had angled there. The lag after 9pm is unplayable to everyone I have played with at that time of day, and it only seems to get worse as time goes on, then when we come back on the next day it's normal again.
I couldn't tell you when exactly it stops, I've never played until it stopped before. I turn on Dust every day around 11am and usually play off and on all day until these lag spikes get too bad to manage (I am aware I have no life). Last night I made it to about 3am before I finally gave up trying to get into a lag free match and it was still lagging horrifically. I have no idea how it is that other people are able to play in all of that lag. I squad up with a guy in Mexico who is in the same time zone as me and he get's it just as bad as I do, as well as everyone else I play with from all over Europe and the US.
Can you please look into this issue and get back to us on what is causing it? If it's lag switch users waiting for the devs to go to bed in order to cheat, I'd like them to be dealt with ASAP, and if it's a different issue I would love to have it taken care of so I can keep playing smoothly at night as well as the day time. |
