Seriously, I can understand the want to limit jumping for fear of bunnyhoppers, and I can understand that the Hoovs lives up to his namesake, but could he at least be allowed to jump to a height that makes the jump useful? Anything designed to be jumped over, like fencing, the support struts at Line Harvest's C and D, the boxes lined up to jump over the outer wall at Communication, the Heavy can't use any of these. The main reason you want to use the Heavy is for a Heavy Weapons platform, which means either using the HMG to ambush or the Forge Gun from a high vantage point to punish HAVs. You can do neither in many areas because, to put it simply, fatty can't jump.
Might we buff the jump on the Heavy just a smidgen? |

Perhaps a climb function would be useful, if you walk up to something at a certain height like a railing it gives you a prompt to climb over it, irrespective of jump height. TBH I've noticed that there are places that you can put drop uplinks where if the heavy spawns there he is trapped because of railings. |

Better Idea that would improve the game alot: Include a "slide over obstacles" mechanic as seen in many many modern games. Good example would be Mass Effect3. Also it would look really cool and you wont need to nerf the heavys jump height. you just need to include a set of recognizable that you can slide over like specific crates, some kind of small walls, stuff that the OP mentioned. |

That would give the heavy an unfair advantage, by taking away one of their disadvantages. |

Allowing all suits to climb over objects at a set height would be good. Could be done when against the object and hit jump button. If jump is higher enough to clear then jump normally, if not then climb over. The climb should be a set height for all suits, its more a matter of limb length then weight, it should also be slower then jumping. Jumping is reduced by armour plates, so some assault or even scouts(proto scout with 3 complex plates) may not be able to get over railings as well. The scout and assault will still be better at moving in the mountains, since there is nothing to be up a against to climb over. |
