whenever I throw av grenades they just bounce off whatever vehicle I hit and my playstation ends up freezing. I looked on the search and didn't see anyone talk about this yet. The game was awesome until that last hotfix. thank yall for reading this. |

This.
I hit a dropship at point blank with 3 AV's. 1 exploded, 2 bounced off. Also the 'homing' ability seems to be extremely random. I can throw them and they will happily fly over an LAV and do nothing (probably the same problem).
Maybe 30% of the time they perform as expected. |

I've actually noticed this as well, mainly being a LAV/HAV driver, I believe they were trying to counter av grenades being used as landmines (which is not their intended purpose) I haven't noticed much difference with the tank, other then from the ones left around on the ground, and they don't seem to hurt anymore, which is of course, not a bad thing at all. Having thrown ones miss my LAV though, isn't right. (not that it cares about av grenades in the first place) |

It seems all the quick fixes they are doing is just hurting the game. They hotfix the money situation buy reversing all the money that was transferred from Eve players and not the items they bought with it, the market breaks. They hot fix the AV nades now they bounce off or don't do any damage ( i've thrown them seen them blow up and do 0 damage) etc..... It's like Nerf = Death to the Item.... |

Hotfix: yes They just go back with script for AV from last build. Sometimes AV-grenades just bounce from vehicle. But at last it can be used like mines.
Wait for next build.

From what I was told, the only way they could fix the AV grenades staying around forever without waiting for a full patch was going to be kind of dirty, backwards fix. This must be what we have til the next patch where they can make changes to the code. I guess no more locking function now? I think I'm more ok with that than what we had to begin with. |

they were fine the way they was before they messed with em but no CCP had to go and change something that was working perfectly fine and now look at them useless . i say if you want to fix anything CCP weapon related fix the swarm launchers they need a huge boost. the AV grenades were fine before now useless . guess the nerfers got their way with this one now they can run round LAV/tanks all day now with out having to worry about AV nades affecting them as much . |

Of course, no locking function means they are effectively useless now (a lot of the time). Thats sort of the point of them
I mean, as a shotgun user I would be quite happy with all Assault Rifles having no 'fire' function, if you get the simile. |

People seemed to manage before the locking function was put in, unless for some reason they aren't exploding without a lock. I mean the locking was only put in just last build, it's not like the AV grenades were totally worthless every other build before that. I personally haven't put SP into them yet, so I don't know how they're working right now. If they're not exploding, that's a problem, but if they're working like regular grenades, then just throw them at vehicles. |

They don't explode without a lock - i.e. bounce off. They aren't regular grenades and are useless if they don't lock. |

Maybe I'm lucky, but haven't had any problems with locking since the hotfix. AVGs still pretty much work for me the same as ever. Which AVG do you use? I use the Packed AV so the throw radius is much smaller, have to be close to the vehicle for it to get a lock on. Maybe that helps? |

Standard AV's with iirc a 6m lock radius. After the second last downtime they seem to be locking better, but still not perfect.
LAV's usually take hits, but dropships I haven't had the chance to test again. Maybe had 1 in 8 fail to lock an LAV when thrown inside the correct radius recently. |
