Guns need serious work. My $.02:
Assault Rifles: ADD RECOIL AND BULLET SPREAD!!! It really doesn't get much lamer than some jackass holding down the trigger and having all his shots go exactly where he's aiming. If you're gonna make the guns act like laser beams, you might as well make them fire lasers!
Sniper Rifles: The standing sway is pretty damn ridiculous, especially compared to the assault rifle's absence of sway, movement penalties and spread/recoil. And yeah I know you can press Gū¦ to crouch and get rid of sway, but by the time your screen settles down, you're already dead from an assault rifle.
HMGs: TBH would be fine if Assault Rifles get their nerf, but I'd suggest implementing a suppression mechanic to make a more supportive role out of the weapon.
Sidearms: Reasonably well balanced, though I would like to have a researchable skill to reduce the time it takes to switch weapons. |

All good ideas in my opinion. Maybe add a 1-2 damage per shot nerf to ARs across the board, but I agree with everything you're saying.
I could say the HMG might need a buff, but anything I find bad about the HMG is the fault of the suit(low turning speed allowing you to be maypoled, low HP for the huge hitbox size and slow speed, inability to get anywhere to ambush because of ridiculously tiny jump), not the HMG itself. |

The Sniper Rifle sway is the only real means of preventing stupid **** like "quick-scoping" that none of us want to have to deal with. I'm with you 100% on the AR mechanics. |

If you can find someone who's dumb enough to not strafe show them to me because it's nearly impossible for me to get a kill with the lag and straffing and the fact that almost every enemy can hit me before I can hit them for some reason...
but bullet spread would be nice in a later build. get lag and skirmish fixed first. |

I thought about asking for a buff to the HMG's as well, but my biggest complaint was that the assault rifles were able to annihilate me so quickly at ridiculous ranges before I could do anything. I think HMGs would have a very nice niche if they were able to suppress people (debuff accuracy/visibility similar to BF3 or Red Orchestra 2). If they did implement a suppression mechanic, you could also have it so that the Heavy Suit has very low suppression gain, while Light Suits are almost instantaneously suppressed, increasing the heavy's viability.

I agree with you, but I think if suppression gets put in, it will become less of an issue. I just think that it should be viable to snipe in the stand-up position behind cover, rather than having to crouch all the time. Maybe a hold-breath feature?
