The subject says it all. Here is my reasoning. If you are sitting back in the red zone while your team has even one objective or a CRU, then you are most likely not helping your team as well as you could be. Further, the red zone is an artificial constraint in place to make it safe to spawn in for a team, not to give a zone from which to attempt to kill with little to no risk.
At times, each of us will be red lined, forced to fight from within the red zone simply because EVERY spawn point on the map is taken by the enemy. It can become difficult, if not impossible, to even sneak past to drop an uplink at times. This is why the red zone is necessary. However, it should be exactly what it is intended to be and not what it is being used as - a safe zone from which to spawn, not a sniper and tank camping mess.
If all objectives and CRU's are controlled by the enemy, then war points would be turned on in the redzone. If even one spawnable location, perhaps excluding uplinks, is controlled by your team, then war points should cease to be gained in the red zone. Not only would this force red zone campers to come out (assuming they want war points), it would be a far better method of eliminating boosting than the current haphazard attempt to do so that is no war points from repping. |

I like this idea, but I think it needs to be refined. For example, players would need to see where the line for the red zone is, so snipers can sit just outside of it and still get WP. Maybe a yellow mark instead of red if it's your team's red line. Don't know how that overlapping with the actual red (for the other team's yellow) would look, it might be terrible. Either way, I think the base idea here is a good one. |

Mm. Personally there should be no war points period awarded to anyone within the confines of the "red" zone which is visibly outlined by the players HUD (Heads up Display) on their mini-map. If you give them an inch they three feet. You cannot do that here unfortunetly as they have already proven it only takes one bad apple to ruin the entire bushel. Which is sad, but true and to the point. I say no war points period within the confines of the given red zone. Skill points though? I'm not particularly sure, but I have no given issue with that per say though I know it will too be abused by the players. |

Well for one, it could be a green zone for your own team that indicates where your opponents red zone is.
I would go so far as to give no gains when engaging from the "green" zone. No kill counts, no war points, no SP gain and no ISK gain. They would still loose inventory for deaths as normal.
Make it the same for attacking someone in their "green" zone. No kill counts, no war points, no SP gain and no ISK gain.
Then the "green" zone will be a more safe place, but a place of zero gains and potential suit loss. It should encourage people to get out of the "green" zones. |

Great Idea. It should not be a safe haven for dbags.
I am tired of being sniped from the red line and having no recourse, or having a tank down to nothing, just to have him retreat to a point behind the redline that i cannot target. |
