Yes the slower the rate of fire the more damage each bullet should do about. |

DPB to Rate of fire. This is what this shame should be balancing off by.
Battlefield 3 does this and it has probably the most balanced guns of any FPS.
Basicly...the higher the damage..the slower the rate of fire. The faster the rate of fire...the less damage it should do per bullet.
I'm not sure does this completely with the Assault rifles.

and that still sounds weird because of calibers and velocity but I guess balance is balance vs sim stuff. |

They do do more damage with lower rate fire. Tactical is in line with typical trigger pull rate of new player, cyclic rate of fire should be lower.
The breech was over powered in e3 build, it was nerfed a little to much. The longer range weapons also do less dps, sniper does about 1/2 damage of ar over time, each shot is much bigger though.
The gauss rifle will likely be lower rate of fire and dps, and longer range with higher damage per hit. About in the middle of sniper and ar.

it's just a bug, they had recoil, they will again
That's one of the main advantages to the breach, less recoil.
The tactical has the least recoil, almost none. The burst has the highest dps firing three shots at once but at horrible recoil |
