Well i haven't had the chance to play the game after today hotfix! The only thing that caught my attention was the fix for strafing speeds but i don't see anyone talking about this so for the ones that have played:
Did strafing speed got fix? Do you feel any diference?

Can definitely feel a difference with the Scouts, was able to go like 12/3 with just a shotgun and scout suit, was pretty lulzy.

It looks like CCP found the 'sweet spot'. Not too fast like the precursor build and not too slow like the early codex build (pre-hotfix). |

Disagree, the game in general just lacks a feeling of speed. The fast and frantic combat they mention in the starter video isn't in evidence. Slow and laboured would describe it better. They clearly aren't aiming for a fast and frantic speed of play, regardless of what some video mentions. So they may well have found a sweet spot, although obviously some people won't be satisfied until you're strafing as fast as you can sprint forward. |

people saying **** like "this new super slow strafe speed" are the ones making things up. It's a slight reducion does not equal super slow. They nerfed the op dance scout, get over it. Be glad the logi was always fast , and the scout got a buff.

Strafe speed was changed. For Scout suit, it was nerfed a lot. The Assault suit was also nerfed, but just slightly.
CCP said they were buffing the strafe speed on scout. It does seem noticeably faster, but not as much as originally. I'd say, it's acceptable... but tbh, I hardly ever use the scout suit, so I'm not the best critic. CCP did NOT say they were buffing the assault back up. Not that big of a deal, since it was only mildly nerfed anyway. |

IT was barely changed, and you use the logi suit if you want the old movement speed of the assault. |

Assault used to have quicker strafe speed than logi - if they didn't tweak assault in the hotfix then assault, logi and heavy all still have identical strafe speed. |

I find this post hilarious.
But more to the point. Unfortunately this game will end up failing badly if the movement speeds remain slow and they keep their hitscan weapons. Any skilled FPS player will simply move on to a game that is more challenging. I agree that over the last few times I have played this game it is a "snooze fest". There is very little actual action going on. I find that I do alot better and I get far more WP/kills by setting up a campsite at a location that is close to both an objective and a resupply point. This definately does not make for a fast action packed game......also the fact that the enemy team always seems to have 6 snipers behind their redline way up in the mountains just annoys me to death. |

^^This this so much this. This is why I really can't be "constructive" with CCP because everything they do makes the game worse then they false advertise it's combat. |

Strafe speed were increased for the scout and assult and seems well balenced now scout can now hold its own if it is good at what it does and it no longer trumps a assult using cover, IMO it is in the middle ground now and if speed is increased more then other thing will need to be balenced such as hip fire accuracy, ADS vrs hip fire and all that and in fairness that is a whole heap of things to go wrong no? |

'Speed' is relative.
What is slow for you could be fast for me (perhaps I'm getting old) or to someone else. Besides, the precursor build had too high of a strafe speed and resulted in mercs dancing around each other like a bunch of baboons. If you're talking about forward speed like sprinting, I don't think it's slow paced. It just feels that way because we mostly fight in open maps. |
