My cheap no-brand 15-dollar bluetooth headset broke, and I am gonna get a new one tomorrow.
any suggestions for a good, sturdy, yet still relatively affordable headset?
Note: This headset will ONLY be used on my PS3. Therefore I am not looking to really splurge too much on it. I'm looking to pay anywhere from 20 to 30 bucks for it.
thoughts? |

thoughts? Just go a bit further and get the PS3's bluetooth. I bought it 2 weeks after it came out and have had no issues. You can buy cheap ones if you want, but they will do the same thing your $15 one did and crap out.
Sometimes a few extra dollars for a quality product is more than worth it in the long run.
It has been almost 3 years, was $49.99 when I bought it, and you can get it for $37.99 on newegg.com. Sound is good, and you have the option to leave talk on while it's recharging(it works like a standup mic while charging) |

I agree. Ps3 blue tooth has never let me down. Can't say the same for other more expensive sets. |

bonus with the PS3 headset it displays little icons on your screen showing you when you mute and battery power. you can also use it as a table, non-headset mic by leaving it in the charger. great feature if you forget to charge i after a night of gaming but still want to use it |

Interesting...
the official Sony PS3 headset was only 39.99, so I went ahead and bought that.

For the extra $10 you really can't go wrong with the official Sony PS3 headset, especially if you play on a daily basis. I tried messing around with some cheaper ones before and they just broke and pissed me off, this one however has been working for years now without any problems. |
