The spawn system needs a total rethink imho. As it is we can spawn on the MCC, control points, spawn facilities, dropships, and uplinks. MCC i totally understand, dropships also make sense to an extent (there should be a limited # of clones if there aren't already) all the others make no sense to me at all and they don't much to support a teamwork mentality.
My suggestion is to scrap control point spawns, either remove spawn facilities or make them larger and a little more permanent looking, and to change uplink spawning to a teleport system where you spawn in the MCC and step into a teleporter to where the uplink was placed. (maybe there's a timer on the uplink teleporter to prevent troops rushing into an area and spamming uplinks with entire squads waiting on the other side)
I sincerely feel this would help with the spawn camping problem and would support squad based play/teamwork more than the current system. |

There's hardly any spawn camping of any greater extend anymore. Team getting redlined doesn't count to that.
Camping uplinks is a valid tactic.
Perhaps our views are so different because I'm comparing too much to the previous builds?

Yes camping uplinks is a valid tactic, and while there is less spawn camping that in previous builds it still happens regularly. The whole "I'm a clone and I'm going to come into existence in the middle of a battlefield!" seems silly to me. There are times when I spawn at control points and just "pop up" behind a box in a corner somewhere... wtf is that... The system in place currently seems like a very haphazard approach that's been pulled bits and pieces from other online shooters. Heck I would even be happy with a setup similar to Section 8. Either way I hold to the opinions expressed in my op. |

It's my opinion that the only people who think camping spawn points and uplinks is a valid tactic, are the ones who likely get half their kills from doing so. It's real aggravating with the "random" Not so random spawns dropping you in the middle of a group of enemies. |
