Santana is right about his theory. small blasters need more range and railguns need some sort of tracers. If I could see where my shots were going I'd prefer railguns actually as they hit instantly. |

Make missiles vehicle/installation lock on only and let them track, just like swarm missiles -- since apparently those were "too powerful" too.

Simply change them for mass drivers. Now they'll clear a landing zone, but be crap at range. Changes to blasters and railguns in this thread seem sound. No damage changes, just visual feedback. |

Swarms are fast and the ships are slow. They wallow at their laughable service ceiling of a couple hundred feet. One hit they are tossed around like a rag doll, slammed into objects or made easy prey for another set of swarms.
I tried sneaking around low, but the first set to hit my ship invariably slammed it into terrain. It didn't matter if I could sustain the missile damage, I couldn't sustain the collision.
I'm trying to adapt, but it isn't working so far.
I'm thinking true adaptation might require HAV's or tricked out LAV's with killer missile turrets. Look for those to be nerfed next. |

Bah this crap again. people complain mainly cause they think they are aible to shot down a high end dropship with a militia swarm launcher. Watch out what you want otherwise we have another tank sceanrio where armor tanks have beeing sacrificed. Seriously you can take out any armor tank with a militia swarm launcher and i dont want this to happend to dropships. As long the AV grenade bug is there i will pilot my dropship end of the line. Simply cause Av grenades are not capable of flying 20 meters into the air. You guys complain about dropships but did you took a look on other vehicles? I tried to field a Saga LAV just with the result that every 1 spams av grenades on the ground and the same goes with tanks. You guys only cry about missiles are OP cause they hit you from above and not from infront where you can hide in cover and do pop shots with a swarm launcher or forgegun. Another thing is that swarms fly around corners which is just brutal for LAV's and annoying for tank drivers. Make the swarms like on the E3 build and we have a perfect balance against aireal and ground vehicles. And in real life if you get shot by a RPG you get ripped apart. Those are vehicle high power weapons. If you nerf missiles then you have the same situation like with railguns or blasters. Any more nerfing to vehicles will make them useless to 100%. |

The issue is not with the dropships. It's with the swarm launchers not reaching their targets in time because they are too slow. |

Well Tony we did say more range for blasters would be good thts neither a dmg buff or a visual feedback change. For now just temp increase swarm speed as long as their speed isn't relative to the dropship I saw in another thread tht someone using afterburners got outrun by swarms which shouldn't happen IMO, missiles can't magically speed up mid flight. |

Actually, if they make launchers generate heat like the Railgun and blaster turrets do, it'd probably go a long way to keep people from spamming them constantly. Or at least reserve them to shooting other vehicles, or installations, or large threats. |

10 seconds of carelessness in a dropship will see you shot out of the sky. That doesn't even factor in forge guns, or the fact that a dropship outrunning swarms isn't all that effective at anything else. There definitely needs to be some changes to their presence on the field, and a turret nerf definitely isn't one of them. |

i know, i don't believe people are still trying this... As soon as i saw a dropship easily out run my swarms at the start of this build, guess what? I USED FORGE GUN! And i haven't looked back since.. |

Yes I hate getting hit by rocket rain. But I know they hate when I hit them with two quick shots from my forge gun. They hunt me while I hunt them. Works for me.
Though it would be nice if they made other weapon turrets more viable. |
