Ok so the spawn system could win Best Horrible Spawn Award for the last 4 years..
Just place a MCC like ship in every map.. we can jump out and kinda control our path as we float down.. id like to be able to almost glide next to a team mate or something. This couldnt be that hard. Im not saying place the drop out ship right above the map so you can land on silly snipe locations but at least let us control our path some. Its more realistic for the future clone system anyhow. Im just sick and tired of spawning next to a enemy tank.. or next to the enemy clone unit where there are 3 reds shooting me before im even see whats going on.
This new system would work so much better and allow better team work. Dont get me wrong its fun to sneak across the entire map to join my guys again but this is the future and its like George Washington in 1770 designed this spawn system. Why dont we just get in a line and walk towards each other yayyy |

Yeah, every map should have a MCC that you can spawn in and jump out of. It does slow down the action a bit, but it is nice to have a secure spawn when you want to run an expensive dropsuit. Give you a chance to load grid before having it blown up, etc.
plus it just plain makes more sense than having clones magically appearing in random spots on the field. |

I appreciate it's difficult to ensure players don't end up spawning in the middle of an enemy squad, but at the moment it seems like there are no measures against that at all.
Nobody wants to spawn their expensive forge gun build when you're just going to be planted right in a gunnlogi's crosshairs. |

Starhawk did a drop in system were u would spawn flying down to the battle field but only in your teams green areas sure u could land on stuff but then u would be stuck up there unless u wanted to jump down and take damage or die. A remedy to that would be make the drop in zone flat with small hills around it for protection from tanks or have an energy shield around the main spawn to prevent spawn kills.
As for drop uplinks a beam could hit the drop uplink as your spawning down if its outside were u can see out but not change its path or keep uplinks unchanged.
And if they go the energy shield route make it so u get no kill and points for guys that want to camp inside of it for protection |

As long as you could kind of glide down at say a 45 degree angle... thats the max, it would be controllable if you wanted straight down thats cool.. but it would be rad to jump out and drift to the left and try and hit close to a team mate or just to avoid the others. Then given the height of the ship from the ground, position the ship the right distance from the center of the map.
This would work well because the other team can kinda see where you land so its rather fair.
The two ships would obviously be across from each other. The only thing I see being a problem is then its one side vs the other.. so the two ships could slowly rotate say clockwise around the map so your spawn location could be rather different every time. |

The spawn system has improved with Codex, but it still needs work. I don't get spawn killed as often, but when I do I usually spawn right in front of a pack of reds. It would be nice to be given the option to drop down not from an MCC but with a more mobile npc-controlled vehicle like you see in the Dust 514 trailer with the Amarr Templars dropping down from the sky via a re-entry vehicle that was deployed by an Amarrian Coercer. |

drop uplinks help. that said staring with a CRU or a MCC would be nice for ambush. on the smaller CoD like maps this spawn system is acceptable since the whole fight is just organize chaos but on bigger maps we need spawn points. |

Drop up links are not the solution.. Ill have some squad member go in before me and say he dropped one and I dont see it pop up. The other problem with those is the camping of them. They work good in some cases and those are not a problem. I like those..... but for just good old sending a clone into battle.. the future is stupid as far as it goes now... randomly placing you in the most unintelligent locations. |

It doesn't help when you have a=holes camping every uplink they find either. Had that one happen a couple times too. |

If you don't want players to camp your uplinks then please stop putting uplinks in obvious places. |

Well golly gee gosh, I wouldn't of ever thought of that.............*raises an eyebrow* Doesn't matter where you put em, once they figure out where it is they camp it until no one spawns there. |
