This tournament is totally unfair. US, EU and asia corps are going to fight in an amazing lag with a big advantage for US..
I know this is a beta and this is why WTF will participate. But clearly EU corps have no chance on US servors. We tried few battles against great US corps ( or not ) and always the same result : not possible to play. The What The French clearly stop battles against US corps. We still try to find EU battles.
So dear CCP, what's about futur ? International tournaments aren't possible. You need to know that. You guys have to think in region tournament and region corp battles with maybe a filter or something.
This is not a rage thread or an anti american thread, i love you all and i really like this tourney idea but CCP need to know that. We are not on EVE, international battles are impossible.
Sorry for my bad english, hope everybody understood me, see you on the battlefield.

I'm glad they changed it to play on EU servers as well, only fair.
Just curious they would change where we play, but not the day (Friday) so EVERYONE could have a chance to participate.
Something is better than nothing i guess.

The lag will eventually be ironed out once there are more player base. What I notice that there are more lag during 10pm pst than 6:30am pst in my area. |

I don't doubt a lot of the lag issues are caused by the server connections not being so good. The main Eve server Tranquility will have the bulk of priorities for connections and a far superior hardware than any of the test servers. I'm guessing we're pushing the limits of Sisi at the moment but as Cerebral said ... TQ will be a much more stable platform and cross continent matches should be barely noticeable if not indifferent to local matches. |
