It is broke...please DEV. use it and see. It has a tendency not to blow up. I just throw one on two guys and both took zero damage. At least 25% of direct hits will hurt guys but not 600 damage worth. Very little non heavies can live through 600 damage yet like I mentioned 25% of enemies hit take some damage not all. The blast radius is a measly 2.5 meters. Where the 600 damage goes I do not know. The animation is there...no damage. I doubt it is lag because it happens so very much...even in a 1 vs 2 player game. It is also not a matter of me measuring 2.5 meters incorrectly because many of these were direct hits on the enemy.
The description needs to state Half damage is often a symptom of the nade.
I know this is not a popular complaint but broke is broke.
(typing while I am playing...enemy just walked thru my smoke from the explosion..he was still. He took zero damage.)
I may say the damage not hitting is closer to 50%. When more players skill this high CCP will see many more similar threads. |

Thukker radius got cut down by a whole lot. I think it's something like a quarter of what it used to be. You practically have to hit them with it.
Which is probably for the best. |

A militia heavy w/ Mechanics lvl 4 can survive 600 points of damage & that's the weakest of the heavy suits (both of the higher meta variants have more EHP). |

There is hidden resistance on shields and armour, why laser cut through shields so well.
If it is the same as EvE the shields have 60% reduction and armour 0%. So my type-ii assault with 280 shields can take 700 explosive damage before falling, but only 280 from em like laser rifle or flux grenade. Armour would have 60% resistance to the em from laser and 10% resit to the explosion.
copy and paste from eve-guides.com Shields: 0% vs EM, 60% vs Explosive, 40% Kinetic, 20% Thermal. Armour: 60% vs EM, 10% Explosive, 35% Kinetic, 35% Thermal.
The general pattern should match EvE, but the specifics could be changed for balance in dust.
The damage may be correct, but they need to fix the no explosion bug. It better each build but not yet gone apparently. Maybe the new thunkker should be adv, and a higher damage one take the proto slot.
In theory a scout can be built to have 900hp, but the plates will make it almost as slow as heavy. |
