CCP will happily take any money back that you shouldn't have even if it means having a negative balance. In EVE, people have ended up with like negative five hundred million ISK when they exploit or buy ISK or whatever.
So if you think you're safe if you spend it, you're not nearly as clever as you might think. They keep logs of everything. |

No, they don't, I can confirm that. No one is getting punished for anything, so stop crying about missing the party and get back to playing the game.
CCP Nullarbor's only concern was that no one was stockpiling thousands of items, which Singularity's smaller database can't handle. So don't do that. |

Yeah, except they are mis-targeting the perps. In fact immediately after the server went down and came back up after this fiasco, I found that out the hard way. They apparently raided a few items that they had thought were ill-gotten. I had bought a dropship at 3pm here (the servers went down around like 5 here I think) in order to try it out and attempt to learn how to pilot it, when the servers came back up it and several other items I had purchased (I can no longer recall what all of them were) were all gone and the ISK I had spent on them was missing.
As for the ISK, I was wanting to start a corp and a guy offered me 2,000,000 ISK since he'd gotten 100,000,000 free when it happened. He transferred it and we squadded up. About an hour later our games froze up. When we came back in all of the ISK he'd given me and all of the ISK he'd had left was gone, but he had spent a lot of it and wasn't in the negative so I know that isn't what they were doing. |
